We all thought similar things about Trump.

Forgot what ‘paper’ was. Anyone?
comment in response to post
We don’t say “download” for streaming media. Technically, that’s what is happening, but no one says that anymore.

What a sad human

Honestly, that top would’ve come off in anyone’s hands.

This is why parks exist. 100% agree that kids need a place to run wild. The restaurant patio is not the place.

So are the parents.

Utter MCU burnout going on here.

Executives and engineers making six figures is not a new story. That’s a normal salary for those positions.

Can someone explain to me what Insider Connect brings to the game? I tried to connect to it once and failed. So I continue to play pinball old-school style like a weirdo.

Don’t be alarmed people. Satan has quotas too you know.

That's nothing. Sorry, lots of legitimate stuff to blame Trump for, but a 1.7% drop is literally nothing regardless of who is in office. It's totally insignificant.
comment in response to post
What a sensationalized and meaningless headline. A single day drop of 1.7% is nothing. Go back to January 2025 and it's +2.46%. Go back to January 2024 and it's up +28%. No one who actually invests and watches the market gives a crap about a -1.7% drop in a day.

You should hear what the bystanders said in court. youtu.be/eT3oMszU7hE

Trans goes both ways, but this order only goes one way.

Half? More like 5%

Now it’s a joke to them.

Before that I would set a mental baseline for how reliable Deepseek is by asking it for criticisms of the CCP. Spoiler: it’s a glowingly positive review.

Responses like yours are exactly why Trump won.

Imma Democrat, and the Democratic Party has gone way too far to the left. Left of center is what the majority of us are, and that would make the Party more acceptable by those who are right of center. It’s OK to be tough on the border. It’s our border. And TQ+ should not be the hill we die on.

No one can.

The first to stand up. And not the last!

It’s like the Iran Hostage Crises. Trump (Reagan) have secretly set up a deal to make them look good their first day in office.

I could be wrong, but I thought all Wirecutter articles are not behind a pay wall
comment in response to post
Maybe because it’s a Wirecutter article? The link is provided in the post.

Your aggressive mentality is why Trump won. And I vote all blue.

Oregonians are in.

Ah… I see. Thanks for the explanation. Sounds like he’s in excellent care w/you! <3
comment in response to post
Is that due to weeping in his eyes? Seems like a lot.

I don’t think they’re the same. The blue collar voters who voted for Trump “feel” like they’ve won even though they won’t benefit from anything tangible, and in most likelihood will lose tangible assets, etc. But their joy is real. You can “win”, even though you’re actually losing and vice versa.

We gotta get Liz over here on bluesky. Is she here?
comment in response to post
Uh… it was a little bit more than that. She went against her own party to point out egregious wrongdoings. She put her career and even her life on the line. And now she’s in danger of being prosecuted for “just telling the truth.” smh
comment in response to post
Valid concern. It’s not Y2K but Y2.5K.

Maybe there’s a “good” Elon and a “bad” Elon? I’m pretty sure this was a Star Trek episode …

Yeah, naw. I lived a decent chunk of my life in Nebraska, and that sounds like a single anecdote if it’s even true at all. Not indicative of some bewildering bargain hunting practices in the region.

The oligarchs have been essentially running the US for decades. Only difference now is they’re front and center — they clearly realize they’ve got us and there’s little we can do.
comment in response to post
Honestly, this is not right. It isn’t right that you have to see that IMO. These platforms could and should be doing a way better job at curbing low level trolling and tucking it so far away that one really has to go digging to even find it.

The enemy of my enemy is my…. er…. Not feeling it.

Honestly, I think you’ve got the bulk of your followers here now on Bluesky. I bet a significant number of your followers over there were either bot accounts or grifters anyway.

Uh… and you could get an OG Switch for $75 off retail over the holidays. Pretty solid deal for a device that has so many fantastic games. Honestly, who really needs a new Nintendo device? Once again… it’s about the games. Not the fancy graphics.

Hamas poked the bear on Oct. 7. Classic FAFO. The retaliation has been extreme, but it simply would not have happened if Hamas didn’t make the first move.

Bring them a coffee from a local coffee shop. Support union and support local in one blow. Win-win!

The oligarchy has been in place for decades. Now they’re just front and center.
comment in response to post
Is commute the same as reduce? I presume there’s a decent reason these people are on death row and should remain behind bars. I don’t exactly want these individuals working at the coffee shop next week.

I was just wondering how it all came to be that she got in. Is that true that she was the top talent?

Way to close yourself off from the discussion.

AG, I’ve been a listener/follower for a couple years, and I’m just so so happy I can actually reply to your posts now! I did inactivate my account over there. Are you still tweeting there? Just curious.
comment in response to post
Both. Some are so far on the extreme that there’s nothing that can bridge that gap, so I let them be. However, there are others that are reasonable (right centrist) that we on the left need to acknowledge.

I wish I could unsubscribe from New York Times because I can’t stand how they amplify every ridiculous thing coming out of the Trump camp at the expense of covering the normal things that Harris did, but the rest of NY Times is usually really good.
