This was also doing my head in, but I just figured out how to turn it off. Swipe down from the corner so you're looking at the quick actions, and tap on the pencil icon at the top. From there you can change it back to the old system, thank god.

My Galaxy S23 updated yesterday and I really want to meet whoever thought this laughably small 'now playing' widget was a good idea. Just to chat.

I was awake! Standard practice here in the UK, you're in and out in about half an hour.

Wasn't too bad! Just made an appointment with my GP and talked it through with them, they put the referral through and then I just had to phone the clinic to book it in.

Hahaha. The anaesthetic did its job so I didn't feel any incision or anything, but the guy was VERY rough when finding the correct pipes. Glad I did it, but also glad I won't have to do it again.

I will never shut up about City of Ghosts on Netflix. It's about a bunch of kids who find and interview ghosts, but the 'ghosts' are actually just people telling their real-life stories or bits of Los Angeles' history. I adore it.

The historical rebranding of the Luddite movement as anti-progress anti-intellectuals by a capitalist overclass is one of the most successful British campaigns of political erasure to come out of the Napoleonic era.
To this day, you can't unfuck the meaning. It's ingrained too deep in the lexicon.

It's a weird omission, isn't it? I get that the lights generally follow the critical path, but even so.

I enjoyed it so much at the time that I later described it to my wife, who was unmoved

I love VR, but it's still very funny to me that the best things about it are Rez, Tetris and mini golf.

What's especially maddening is that in the very early years, kids often don't even mind *what* you read. Just pick something you like! They just want to hear your voice!

I adored the epilogue, but it is a bit weird considering we already know that John only has a couple of years of peace before it all goes to shit for him again
