The bad news is your truck is held together by glue. The other bad news is that they plan to "fix" it with more glue.

My mother hasn't liked me since I was five because she's a malignant narcissist and while feeling adored by babies worked for her, a child individuating did not. I find it hard to believe that people truly like me, probably because of this. Maybe it's similar for you. But I bet people do like you.

Outperform? No. Critical thinking requires deep and broad understanding of the subject matter. Dumbing down humanity through dependence on AI is the worst possible move.

LA county landlords, maybe. LA city is mostly rent controlled and had a 4% rent increase this year and last, after a four year moratorium on rent increases due to Covid. Still, I take your point.

And if you swam in a pool, the chlorine mixed with the smog to basically form mustard gas in your lungs that would have you laid out, shallow-breathing later that night!

Also Gen X raising Gen Z and this is really fascinating. I've noticed this with my kids as well, but what's really interesting is noticing how my own perceptions have changed in some of these ways as I rewatch old favorites years later.

I don't know how you can be a billionaire without 1) benefitting from the exploitation of others on a large scale - even if it's inherited wealth, and 2) choosing to continue to hoard massive amounts of resources that could be used to help others, like those who were exploited to gain that wealth.

Oh no, my account might look like a bot! 😬 But maybe that's what a bot would say? 🤔

A really strange take from Mohler ... as if God himself is not the Father who pardons his repentant children "again and again and again." I thought we could at least agree that imitating God is never a "problem" or a "failure."

The problem is that love and acceptance aren't always enough. Some parents also require control; some can't own the truth of the harm they cause. Ultimately, children (even adult) are never responsible for their parent's emotional well-being and healing. Sometimes, only prayer is left.
