I've definitely thought about that sort of je ne sais quoi feeling you get from art that is super experimental/wacky but you immediately go "okay woah this artist absolutely knows their craft" when you see it. It's a cool feeling

One, it's not like I'm completely reinventing myself, my core personality is stable. Two, all friendships naturally undergo change in various ways as the people involved age, have life experiences, etc.; there is no avoiding it. So in a way, my prior thinking was just fighting against the tide.

Part of it is this silly subconscious idea I held: that my friends had a certain snapshot of my personality that they felt an affinity to, and that if I deviated from even the most superficial of my usual behaviors I'd be putting those existing friendships in jeopardy. Certainly that's untrue.

And done. A creative overarching story blended with mostly interesting single episode plots. I felt sticking the ending narratively was going to be tough and I was right: I had to rewind and re-listen to many parts of the last episode and some things are still a little unclear. Overall great show.

When I was writing my comment on your other post today I was thinking "oh boy jewelry chains, the polycount destroyer." But then I was like "naaah, Chii's probably way ahead of that concern, I just need to trust" π
Nice work!!

They look great! I'm planning to attend this year for the first time, it's so cool that people make themed outfits and accessories. I'll definitely grab these when they're ready β¨

Noooo my tastes are supposed to be refined and cool, you can't just go and trope-ify them like that π
Tbh I always felt tsundere archetype was like a less self-aware and more initially closed off type of character, so like it's a different nuance (?) lol

Oops!! @mnbm.bsky.social wrote this exact advice and I didn't read down far enough to see it. Just consider this a plus one on their explanation.

So, a VR dB overlay is sort of unattainable for the average user. Best tool an average user has for this is an iPhone and the NIOSH Sound Level app. Run the app, hold the phone where your ear would be in VR, play the VR PC audio at various volumes, and see what dBA is on the app's meter.

Unfortunately, the easiest way to reliably know dBA levels is to put an external meter next to whatever is outputting the sound. Audio out levels at the Windows OS side can correspond to a huge range of dBA based on each user's specific HW, how amped it is, and how far the user is from it.

It's America, unless you have an active job or live carless, the deck is stacked against you. By no means does this imply you're stuck and helpless but being real about externalities means you can hopefully get off that "no reason other than sheer ineptitude" line

I wonder if I have some kind of sensory processing issue, or if it's the high-contrast screens, low game FPS, specific strobe frequency, etc. I certainly don't have photosensitive epilepsy. If I want to stay in a venue with heavy strobing I usually end up turning down my HMD brightness a lot.

Awesome video! I've been eyeing VR gloves for playing instruments; these stood out for the cut-off fingertips compared to others. I worried about durability and the weight of trackers on the back, but it sounds like that's not as big a concern as I imagined. Though, they are quite expensive

Yeah. It's like a confluence of: being immersed in a foreign place, proximity to culture (pop and historical) that interests, experiencing old cities with built up transit systems and high density, and meeting internet friends. Not the only place in the world for each, but all at once is high impact

I'm sure it's an amazing experience, with lots of unique culture, but I do wonder how much of the impact is because it's a visitor's first time in a dense megalopolis where they walk and ride trains everywhere.

I know almost nothing about your OCs but I still enjoy seeing all your art of them; she looks cute and friendly(?), and that red beret outfit is on point! I think she and Chione are my favorites of your cast. It's clear you put a ton of passion into all this
