A sibling once had a BB gun and I shot it directly onto my hand to see what it would feel like. It hurt really bad but nothing serious.

I was planning this at some point (might still do). I was told by @alexical.bsky.social that there are ways to get married without using gendered terms in Scotland. But there's still being searched on the registry by 'sex,' and extra steps to not use your deadname on a birth certificate.

Also I think maps like these, as useful and important as they are, don't paint a picture of local organising and daily lives. I get concerned that people see the data and go 'we're fucked,' instead of using the data and applying it to their own situations which can differ.

TGEU's declaration of this reactionary turn as a 'new trans tipping point,' is a bold choice. I think it helps though to mention that yes some countries are doing better...for now. This is a new situation of decline and it's up to us everywhere to fight back.

I'm engaging with things offline at least. Even Common Genders is something and bringing people together to study, learn and discuss socialism and feminism. As usual, I think I might be under-appreciating what I actually do.

I think slogging through a write-up isn't helping, but I still keep my eye on things. But even on here, I guess I don't do 'my takes,' on things because so many people on here (and elsewhere) are doing vital work in documenting and analysing things that kind of say what I would say and all.

I think I discovered Betty Tebbs through this piece years ago. I have some bits of local history, but in terms of radical history, she is pretty much the main figure from my hometown. radicalmanchester.wordpress.com/2009/07/09/b...

But my banner pic is a tasty treat as to what I've been up to (for now).
