Happy to debate with those who identify themselves. If you’re behind a mask, you lack confidence in your argument or are a coward. I won’t respond. 🎗️🇺🇦

Anybody who thinks you can just stick them together doesn’t understand how political parties work. My guess, personally, is that around 50% of Conservative members will never support Reform, just as a huge number of Labour voters did not support Corbyn’s party.

Peaceful protest is one thing, breaking the law, repeatedly, damaging aircraft, etc. is quite another. It’s revealing that you can’t see the difference. More evidence of your moral confusion.

And when they say no? What will the government do then?

Maybe they liked the symmetry of 47.74?

There is very little I agree with you on, but this is vile.

Possibly. It might weaken it enough to allow the population to rise up.
But the key point is to destroy the nuclear weapons program. Not a single country, and certainly none of its Arab neighbours, want Iran to have nuclear weapons.
(And if Iran did get one, the others would race to get one too)

Nobody wants a war, Ben. But most people have learned from history.
An Islamic Republic that venerates suicide (as a direct route to paradise) and is spending billions building nuclear weapons is something not a single country (even Russia, a key ally) wants or will accept.

Well, I guess there is a sort of comfort in staying within a certain, narrow knowledge/bias-base.
Personally I much prefer my opinions challenged, to gain new knowledge and to change my mind. But, hey, that’s just me! lol.

OK. Well, can I ask that do a little bit of Googling about the Islamic Republic, its leadership and their attitude to us and the free world? Once you’ve done that, drop me a line.
Their policies are not secrets.

The last time Britain had any influence in Iran is more than 70 years ago. The weekly ‘Death to Britain!’ Is a little OTT, no?
Meanwhile the people who call for death to everyone on this island, including you, want a nuclear bomb and a missile system deliver it to us.
Israel is keeping us safe.

It’s odd to me because Iran’s leadership is explicit in its threats to Britain. Almost every week they make a point of threatening Britain and blaming us for all sorts of imagined evil. I guess this isn’t covered much by the media here (except Matthew Syed) so people just don’t know about it.

So in effect, 49% of the British public support the Islamic Republic? One of the most oppressive states in the world. We’ve lost our minds.

It is. And they do. Unfortunately its system of proportional representation usually means that the extremes often end up with disproportionate power in government. It is however an extremely vibrant democracy.

It’s fine to use ‘current Israeli government’. I agree that it’s extreme and right wing. I’m asking that in criticising Israel we use precise language so that the valid points cannot be misunderstood as support for Jew-hatred/Hamas and, equally importantly, cannot be simply brushed aside as such.

Me neither.
I think that nuance is often missing in your comments. Isreal is one thing, the current Israeli government, another. The racists prefer people to use the former (which is code for Jews).

You REALLY don’t like Isreal, do you? 😂😂.

Interesting that this violence barely makes into the British media/public consciousness.

Sorry, I gave a rule that I don’t debate with people who hide behind masks. It makes civilised debate impossible.

Isreal has had nuclear weapons for at least 45 years.
