I miss this era of making games, it was so focused on fun.

That's not a bad point either, could effectively be a form of flight!

I didn't think about anything but how cool it would be to be able to talk in a dead language.

If you need new blueprint nodes you can make em, but there are some things that are just not accessible via blueprints or are a pain to expose via blueprint nodes. As just a technical designer myself I am at the mercy of what I can do in Blueprints and it can get rough in an all blueprint setup.

When I have worked with programmers who knows C++ that's what we did and it seemed like it worked great that way. Some things are more iterative and blueprints supports that really well. Where as some other things need to just be rock solid and fast and I think C++ just works better.

I would do all your heavy lifting in C++ and leave blueprints for in game activities and level design stuff.

I also wouldn't say it tastes like soap, it sure does taste awful and overpower every other flavor though. Absolutely disgusting.

Every MH from Tri on back to OG MH you had to think about what you were doing, plan ahead, and maximize the time you had. You had to learn where a monster would roam, paintballs were what you used to do that learning. Knowing things was a learned skill, now it's just in the UI and it's kinda boring.

It's sad that the MTG universe couldn't be allowed to just stand on it's own and it had to be cheapened with universes beyond. All good things must end I suppose...time to just buy singles.

Not that it's a problem but the biggest change I have noticed over the years is that it's more Monster Killer than it is Monster Hunter now days. There is virtually zero hunting we do anymore and knowledge of how a monster behaves and chooses to move through environments has become less important.

Time to only buy singles.
