I like this comparison, I think one acre more like a virus, spreading from person to person while the other is almost like curse-radiation(?) like proximity to the object is what causes the sickness

I think this is an issue in alot of RPG’s raising the stakes and creating a narrative sense of urgency when that’s not really true. One of my least favorite recent examples is in Cyberpunk. The chip is supposedly killing you but if you dont do the main quest it never will, despite constant reminders

In my opinion Starfield is the only one here that’s genuinely pretty bad. It seems ambitious but is an extremely shallow game that fails to take the best aspects of its predecessor series’s. A lot of weird nostalgia bait and fairly linear game systems.

Helldivers 2 is still very fun to me
