Reading Thucydides and shaking my head the whole time so the people on the train know I disagree with invading Sicily

These are the type of people who put their weights and water bottles on my side of the bench at Barry's and act surprised and defensive when I move them.

Lincoln’s humility and acknowledgment of his own frailties is staggering to consider, especially in light of, you know. It’s my favorite thing about him: his moral compass was so strong that it allowed him change his mind.

I am still at a loss for bookmarks, I feel like I used to be drowning in bookmarks, couldn’t get away from the novelty bookmarks, and now there is this DEARTH. Have taken to using hair ties because I get them for free from Barry’s Bootcamp.

I’ve seen more than one dude On Here casually drop that they also think this act of desecration is fine because “she’s not there anymore” and I hope anyone who thinks this way never knows peace.

I was lucky to get a good education on the American Civil War in my high school AP class, but 25 years later I’ve been just diving in on my own and it’s made me a patriot. When I feel hopeless and ashamed, I think about Abraham Lincoln. We don’t have the right to give up.
