With no days off? Probably the relatively easy Chula Vista>Shoreline summer 03. ~480 miles.
With a day off, we did some big ones that summer: 7/15/03 SLC>7/17/03 Bonner Springs, and then also 7/10/03 Shoreline>7/12/03 Gorge.

You could argue that as a fundamentally GD/JGB cover band, it’s the non-GD songs which are their “covers”: Atlantic City, Silvio, Such a Night, etc.

It’s the classic Jeff Goldblum Jurassic park line

That sounds very idealistic but I wish it were true! The tech ethos of “move fast and break things” and disrupter culture doesn’t leave a lot of room for moral and ethical self-reflection. I wonder whether there would be a majority of devs who subscribe to that ideology

Just guessing here, but since hustle culture and working stupid hours is ingrained in a lot of software startup work, maybe they think unions would cut that and therefore make companies less good?

Yeah but he pulls it together set 2 of 7/27/03 and saves the show

Yeah I had a rough one last week after 5 days of backcountry canoe camping meals, very few of which involved fresh veggies

Wait so your septuagenarian parents went to a show and neither one’s favorite part was the experimental 42-minute improvisation? 🤪

The thing is, Dems could run a candidate with more moderate policies but who has this kind of principled, non-corporate-minded stance and outreach-focused campaign and win, but instead they'll scratch their heads, call Zohran "dangerous," and then wonder why they are polling so badly nationally

Schumer didn't says "congrats" or "congratulations," just "I looked forward to getting together soon."
Same thing Dems in Congress said after Trump got elected.
Meanwhile, Democratic voters are saying very clearly that *this* is the kind of candidate and campaign they want.

Counterpoint: that shit would have been excellent on a head full.
A lot of us are experienced enough at this point that we’d be like “yes this weird shit is incredible” right??

And then even though I've seen shows that weave in and out of Tweezer before, I've never seen one where they're fully committed to jamming each Tweezer deeply and in a different way from each other. Just perfection all around.

I needed to relisten before I committed to superlatives but it's just that good. Setlist in set 1 is a dream, not just old school choices but some of my favorite gems like Curtain With, FEFY, and Pebbles & Marbles, plus I fuckin love Egg in a Hole and it was perfect coming out of Myfe.

when you have Laura L00mer telling people to rank Cuomo, you know something has gone terribly, terribly wrong

Fishman was the MVP of set 2. He’s the one who pushes that LSG into rarefied territory
