I have met multiple people who did not get the themes in Parasite, the bar for media literacy is in hell. πŸ˜‚

I found a lady at a con who made and sold them, but you can find them all over Etsy if you search for "Weighted Plushie". This one is a lot like the one I have: www.etsy.com/listing/1632...

Weighted blankets are so good. I also found someone locally who makes weighted cat pillows which are also effective if you need some pressure somewhere you don't want to lug a whole blanket. Smush that anxiety!

I wore masks before Rona because of this! I just wore a cloth mask back then, but it still helps so much! And in the spring when hay fever gets wild - catch that pollen before it hits your airways!

Perchance Conor's job as a journalist is to tell us about every genocide so we can be appalled and speak out against it. I'm pretty sure most people *would* speak against most genocides if they knew about them as they happened. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Love this! I have long been a trash connoisseur and this hits the nail on the head perfectly. I don't want to sit and watch ham-fisted Marvel movies, but I also don't want to have to ponder my existence and life choices after every movie at this point in America. I'd also add "Skincare" to the list!

It is terrible! Because Montessori is actually a really good/useful way to teach kids! And I credit a lot of my ability to care about things that do not affect me personally to Montessori schooling. They would absolutely say Maria Montessori was a commie if they actually read her methods. πŸ™„πŸ™„ Ughhhh

As a Montessori kid, I absolutely cannot imagine what Montessori is without social skills?? Empathy, respect and social cooperation is a Huge part of the Montessori method.

The first time I went to Amsterdam, I had a hoot reading the Evian bottles that said that staying hydrated was important "voor jezelf en de baby"

www.chop.edu/centers-prog... This is a good rundown of the main risks from the Philly Children's Hospital. Children love putting little shiny things in their mouths. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜

The main one is to make them taste SUPER bad. I saw it on a thing of button batteries I bought the other day, so I was like "I wonder" and licked the edge of one and BOY that is a flavor. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
comment in response to post
Button batteries are eaten a LOT and when they possibly get damaged by teeth or digestive juices, can have some Really Bad results. I don't think most toddlers are chomping down AA batteries but the little ones in toys and stuff are risky.

Gotta start a group chat called "writers' room" and put all your favorite friend-maniacs in there. πŸ˜‚

Very excited, just saw the ad during the SEC football game (a welcome respite from sport)!

I had just started college, and was on a fairly WASPy campus, and I remember protests where people were hanging Obama effigies, and the beginnings of the tea party were everywhere on campus. The division and discord was there but people weren't as organized about it.
