I am tearing my hair out trying to explain to people I love, people I don’t want to believe are *bad* people, that Israel is not this intangible utopian ideal. Israel is a country, run by people - and the people currently at the wheel are evil.

Jewish self-determination is not, in itself, something anyone should take exception to. But it should NEVER have come through the expulsion of another people. And what is being done now supposedly in the name of my safety and security is a source of constant nightmares.

I am trying to let it go that they platformed a sopping defense of bigotry and then told me to my face "lol sorry you felt that way fucko" when I told them how hurt I was by it as one of their main trans freelancers at the time.
But then they do shit like this and I'm reminded why they suck.

I am seeing an increasing number of trans people using "transwomen" and "transmen" and... STOP IT! It's "trans women" and "trans men".
The space is IMPORTANT. Because "trans" is an adjective here; we are women and men who also happen to be trans. We aren't a separate thing, "transwomen"/"transmen".

Why, it’s almost like the British state is a permanent assembly of approved Oxbridge chaps who do not and will never tolerate threats to their dominance. Just one of those weird things, I guess.

liberal transphobes (and i’m seeing more self-professed “allies”) sounding just like fascists in 2016. you cant claim the right to legislate who gets to participate in society. it undermines the entire social contract on which this shitty society is ostensibly built. you are asking for big problems

It's not as if she doesn't occasionally have to interact with actual trans people with whom she would agree on most political issues save for their right to exist.
It's the cognitive dissonance I find incomprehensible.

Also notable that trans people are the only ones not represented by a person.
