View of track by Egham substation. Bus-bars connecting the traction current return path to the substation (just out of shot to top). Ordinarily these would be impedance bonds, but here they just seem to be direct connections. How does this not shunt the track circuit too (or maybe it does)?

So I'm on my way to work earlier, and Waze offers me a route up the M25 which I know will be crap. There's a route via M4 to Uxbridge which it says is "5 min slower". After taking 40 minutes to go 1 mile, I finally get past the closed-all-day road-junction just north of M4 J4. Gee thanks!

We thought you might be amused to hear that today we started-up our remaining motor coach, S60001. This is the first time it's run since BR days in 1986! It's had new coolant, lubricant, a jump-start, and will need a new voltage regulator (no aux output at present)... but it's good to have it run!
