Elliot Gould was terrific. Such an underappreciated actor.

Terrific song. It appeared in the midst of the British Invasion as an anomaly. Rockers didn’t get it and it wasn’t quite pop. I still play it when I need a lift of my spirits.

Walt Kelly had a lot to do with it, too.

My high school jazz band played that until the principal found out what it was called and he put a stop to it. Ah, more innocent days.

We’ve just moved to France, so my ink is in a container somewhere at sea, but when it gets here, I’m going to line them up on my shelf and stare at them lovingly.

Visited his home and studio a few years back. It was stunning.

I always thought they missed some interesting plot possibilities by not filming a version called Six Brides for Seven Brothers.

Terrific song. Devilishly hard to play the bass part.

Book concept: people put books in a Little Free Library that teach kids to be caring, kind humans. FBI discovers what’s happening, arrests and deports people putting books in Little Free Library.

I am very disappointed in The Nation. I will not read any mucking over the past for chrissake when we have a demented fascist in charge right now.

The video demeans the song, but I know they were trying to emulate the Beatles. Everyone was. Wonderful album.

It’s not about the length of their service that’s problematic, but the quality of their service while in office. If voters did their jobs, term limits would be irrelevant.

I’ve told my wife that I want ASM to play The Lark Ascending at my memorial service. That’ll clean out the bank account. 😅

High Noon came to the movie theater in my small home town just before my 5th birthday. I begged my dad to take me to see it. He was very religious and the church my parents attended didn’t approve of movies. But he took me anyway. The only time I was in a theater until I graduated high school.

Been there, done that. You’ll get through it. THEN you can really celebrate.
