Puh, das ist schwer zu sagen. Verschwörungserzählungen als solches sind eigentlich erst nach Ende des 2. WK als solches ein Thema der Wissenschaft. Aber Popper hat schon in seinen drei Seiten zur Conspiracy Theory of Society einen Verweis auf die antisemitische VE der Nazis.

I agree with the both of you - but also it seems freakin' desperate to me. Quite sure the organisational point of no return has been passed, but it would have been more consequent to cancel. Or at least to relocate all future conferences to outside the US as long as it seems necessary.

Technically, a lot of Germany and Austria was part of formal Occupation Zones. But I guess we should not assume that map to be founded on logic. Maybe they just wanted a harbor in Europe.
