It's a mix Anglo-Saxon/Viking, 17thc Britain, esp. civil war/commonwealth period, Victorian. And I love trying to figure out what my family was up to it where they were at these times (family history is a thing too π)

Oh my goodness! I can usually manage a couple of long WIPS but if there's anything else, they have to be quite different, eg a short story or poetry effort, otherwise it can feel overwhelming. How do you organise your time with them?

I always keep that saying 'nature red in tooth and claw' in my mind. Grew up in the countryside with my cat forever bringing gifts of dead mice, injured birds & headless rabbits. Mum used to say it was just 'nature'. You can't Disneyfy things in real life can you? The awareness is necessary.

Good luck. History is a passion of mine and I love that there is more historical horror appearing these days. Do you have a particular favourite period?

Good luck. How many WIPs do you have on the go?

Here's wishing you luck with your progress. Sins of Salmonweird sounds intriguing (& I do prefer low as opposed to high fantasy!).

I do like that title (it also reminds me of the kennings used in Norse and Anglo-Saxon poetry!).

Good luck. What sort of garden horrors? Nothing with slugs in I hope (or gnomes!).

Research can be tough but oh so fascinating, all those rabbit holes, and the other ideas which pop up whilst you're trying to focus on the 1 story!

If I love a book I want people to know. I mean there are a lot of books I love but only a few that really tug at me. I feel very maternal towards Chester π

When the Carters find affordable housing, theyβre not going to let ghosts, or anything else, scare them away. A haunted house story with love and chainsaws!

I've been following this horrible situation via Tom Cox, have his Villager book and read others from library. So many authors suffering from this.

I've put a variety of novelettes up at payhip (you get pdf from payhip with link to Bookfunnel for delivery so you can choose your format). There's also 2 collections which contain them all in total. Might be something there to enjoy!

And would highly recommend @catherinemccarthy.bsky.social Death of a Clown, she does write horror tho this one isn't but it is brilliant. Also @lcmarino.bsky.social The Haunting of Whispering House trilogy, great chilling ghost stories.
