also i think cringe implies a sense of perception of judgement against a norm in general that generations that intuitively grasp ableism pick up on

so when someone asks if they are cringe, its like oof stop worrying just relax and be yourself, you are trying to hard to be seen a certain way and that is cringe

i think its bc they/we recognize the varied usages of cringe to mean anything from antisocial to weird to trying-too-hard and want to distinguish between those. Millennials (especially when it comes to social media) often fall in the trying-too-hard/ too self conscious and projecting that category

& it's just kind of strange to see famously atheist scientists talking about biology as if it has a will or imparts a destiny upon people at birth or such. & i don't see at all how the acknowledgement that not everyone fits neatly into one of two boxes harms teaching people about gametes or sex

Trump: We're not kicking enough puppies in this country. Corgis, little chihuahuas — they're going unkicked. GOP Rep: He's right. I sent a terrier skyward just this morning. Dem Rep: This is a trap. They want us talking about the puppies. And anyway, my friends across the aisle may have a point

"Donald Trump and Republican politicians are idiots who think your kids have too many pencils and want to get rid of the Department of Education instead of making our schools better." This is a good message. I am willing to offer more like it to Democratic candidates for a mere $250k/yr.

We sometimes talk about how incomprehensible today’s America would be to the Framers, but here we are fighting over the Alien & Sedition Acts, tariffs, and invading Canada.

Maher and Trump both crave 100% approval like it’s oxygen. Disagree even slightly, and you’re an idiot or a traitor or the enemy. It’s the same narcissistic playbook; one’s orange and has weird hair and the other hides behind smug sarcasm and a pseudo-intellect. Different cosplay, same neediness.

The whole process of employment/unemployment seems designed to crush every vestige of self-respect out of a person.

Hahaha I actually can fathom a different scheme or property ownership that is better than the USs, but china is not that. You can try to gaslight about where I get my views from but I can guarantee you haven’t been to china and especially rural china.
