Agree 100 percent re plan, German comment. We disagree on how many zealots and followers are involved.

"Humility" gave me an early morning laugh. Thanks.

Your numbers are correct. Absent January 6, please tell me one protest, event, boycott,... MAGA folks showed up for in numbers. Easy to check boxes, answer questions, etc. I don't think it will be easy to motivate Dems either. Americans are complacent. Financial pain IMHO will be the motivator.

They say it because Democrats can not or will not develop a structured, unified counter-narrative policy. For 40 years + they have failed to get on the same page, back as far as the GOP getting morning faxes re: what to say that day. Herding cats.

In the not to distant future Dems will gladly again accept his campaign donations.

I am in my 60's, same Dem message my whole life. Politics.

The "hidden provisions" will hurt as much, if not more in the long run, as the insurance issues.

Zero Chance.

I'll go back to my original response. Folks that follow this "stuff" are a tiny slice of America. The huge majority of Americans don't pay much attention. Sadly.

Agree on the MMT. Many folks with cash are very happy with the yields high and rising.

Some really good points made. Enjoyed reading it. Interesting range of responses.

At least you admit it. Can't compare checking a box to actually going in the street to protest, stop working, boycotting,....... The Rights numbers are in the thousands not millions.

I think that Americans have been brainwashed into never taking risks on a personal level.

Not sure where your 100 million comes from, though I agree that whatever the number, the right is far better prepared.

Disgraceful that they let this industry grow this big.

The time to re-label the bill has long passed. The media calls it The Big Beautiful Bill. Dems are awful at any counter-narrative. 30 or 40 years ago Paul Begala lamented that Dems can't get on or stay on the same page - things haven't changed. It stuck in my head.

"Some" others are doing nothing.
comment in response to

Most folks just simply don't pay attention. They are trying to get by on a day-to-day basis.
The bill is awful and most certainly not the bill that gets signed.
That said, Dems need to actually propose alternative policies, realistic, fiscally prudent and agreeable to most Americans.
comment in response to
post
Sadly, most Americans don't care.
comment in response to

Yes. Reasonable, actionable and fiscally prudent responses to address some of our many issues in a fair manner. Not just "no" to the other party. When we have reached a "bottom", ideas will emerge.

Not all Americans believe bonds can't crash. Some most certainly do. The exceptionalism is exponentially higher than Japan was - it is stunning. Markets will address the issue.

Because they are lazy.
comment in response to

Most are just simply lazy except when running for office. Most only care about themselves. They never had to fight for anything and are unprepared to do so on many levels.
