I know that Trump is notoriously ignorant, but from where does he dredge up the historical nonsense that the USA had anything whatsoever to do with building the Suez canal. Perhaps we should remind him that when Israel, France, and the UK tried to take the canal in 1956, Eisenhower stopped them.

Gavin Newsom has been a very disappointing governor of California, and his shortcomings are precisely the ones that prevent Democrats from winning presidential elections. Bernie Sanders and AOC have demonstrated what is needed to win, but the Democratic establishment will never do that.

And, of course, the Taliban are a result of US support for the Russian intervention, which was very brutal, to support the progressive Afghan government. Al Qaeda was another result.

It seems that every aspect of every Russian attack on Ukraine is a "mistake." Was the bombing of a children's playground in Krivy Roh also a mistake? Stopping the invasion will stop the mistakes.
