Oh we’ve done that more than once. Still sitting on those drawings. They won’t get anything built until they pay up or start over with someone else, and we sure as hell won’t give up those CADs.

I’ve always been curious about that house, and I DID NOT expect that interior. I know it’s 2 years old, but 🤔

Yikes. That’s a big miss on their part.

Paired it with this sauce, but I subbed whole tomatoes with a can of crushed tomatoes (me = lazy): www.seriouseats.com/new-york-sty...

And that’s why they’re rich; they’re sticking it to the small businesses who don’t have the capital to recoup it. We have so much with a collections attorney that I know we’ll never ever see. Sorry it’s happening to you too.

I feel that. (The rich ones are THE WORST.) Retainer up front and no final deliverable until we’re paid everything we’re due. I’m sick of this shit.

Happy to help! And I get it…I’m still not in the habit of checking BlueSky regularly just yet. :)

TMBG did a whole kids album, and it’s actually GOOD. Full of ear worms and everybody learns something: www.theymightbegiants.com/here-comes-s...

Anything by They Might Be Giants is a hit with the younger people and adults around here! (See also: Barenaked Ladies.) Sing-songy and clean for the kids, tolerable for the adults.

Honestly, if it means the death of LVT I’m not mad about it

A grocery store? Lots of little towns around there and nothing for miles. (And I’m not counting dollar stores and gas stations) something like Meier’s would be nice: grocery and other items like clothes and small home goods to push back against WalMart. And it could spur more development.

Definitely some asshole taking advantage of the system. I’m so sorry.

Glad Nome is on BlueSky! He was one of my favorites over on Twitter. This is the glorious random content I’m here for.

It’s like three times a day. I’ll miss them when they’re grown and not doing this tomfoolery anymore

✨ Family flash mob at the ice cream shop! ✨ Attention-seeking narcissists who completely dilute the message. *nobody with half a brain likes you*

All this is to say: learning the humanities is important so we don’t make the same dumb mistakes over and over.

We’re so glad you’re still here. You’ve spread joy and enthusiasm for reading to so many, and the world is a kinder, richer place for it. 💛

I agree about Daniel Craig — he was by far the closest to Ian Fleming’s version of Bond.

Good for Mangrove. Guy and his team always do thoughtful renovations, and that will be a great home for them.

Same here — I hate sappy shit, but Ted Lasso was a delightful balance of snark and wholesomeness.

Lol I’d make that so hostile with books and crap all over it. Nobody is invading my closet of a space.

Collaboration is nice and all, but I miss offices, in all of their “inefficient”-use-of-space glory.

Oof. Often to save design fee, furniture selection is farmed out to a furniture dealer and they may not have overall aesthetics in mind. (More maximizing seats.) That’s probably the case here.

That’s unhinged. Poor dog. This is yet another example of what happens with our shitty health/mental healthcare, under supported public schools, unfettered access to guns, and religious fanaticism. Everything these dipshits are trying to enshrine.
