I’m just trying to figure out why they decided to parrot vitriol from “experts” when simply, “Women, even at the entry level, are highly trained in manufacturing at small scales,” achieves the point and has a much better implication than, “AMERICA NEEDS CHILD LABOR TO COMPETE WITH THEM SMALL HANDS”

@anandwrites.bsky.social, I just wanted to bring your attention to this talk shaping up to be the sequel to “Winners Take All: the Elite Charade of Changing the World”, AI edition. Incredibly, succinctly put, @abeba.bsky.social!!!

It’s so heartbreaking to me that despite Ozturk being a pillar in her community—she was going to teach a class to local high schoolers this summer!—they enacted cruelty and evilness just for speaking up. So if I understand correctly, a country that has supposedly “solved” its inequality, white supremacy, and racism problem is now removing Black artifacts of resistance from its national museum. Are they saying that racism was never there? Or are they saying that the subjugation shall continue?

“Black Press USA has learned that Trump officials are sending back exhibit items to their rightful owners and dismantling them—starting with the 1960 Woolworth’s lunch counter sit-in exhibit.” blackpressusa.com/the-smithson...
