ISC census shows a drop of 2.4% in pupil numbers. The Times tries to hype this up but the ISC previous claimed numbers would drop by 25%. My estimate was 3-5% by next year. www.thetimes.com/article/893e...

"Why do you 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 talk about Pakistani grooming gangs? There are 𝙩𝙚𝙣 times as many white grooming gang suspects?" @maitlis.bsky.social asks ex-Reform MP @rupertlowe.bsky.social why he won't denounce all perpetrators of grooming gangs equally.

Glorious. This is how all journalism should be done.

This is an important explanation of the government's plans in relation to care worker visas. A major aim is to tackle abuse & exploitation by rogue organisations, 470 who have lost their ability to sponsor workers since 2022. The people they sponsored were left with large debts & mistreated. 1/3

Howard Lutnick on UK Deal: “They opened their market for the first time in 30 years for 5 billion in exports, while paying us 6 billion a year in tariffs” Fact check: The UK won’t pay a penny. American companies importing goods from the UK will pay the tariffs, and pass the cost on to consumers.

Simple, straight-forward reform with no downsides. Bureaucratic intransigence - 'an apprenticeship must be 12 months' - held this up for years. Good on Labour for pushing it through. Interest in the route is increasing - and this will help more good TAs become teachers.

@jujuliagrace.bsky.social only lies when there's a "Y" in the day This, her latest email, is a pack of lies. She's been charging for her newsletters for years She doesn't get trolled, she gets challenged for lying + taking people's money. She expects people to pay her to read her opinion? WHAT?

Old man Trump is not well. Republicans in Congress and the cable news talking heads know it—so it’s time to stop pretending. This would be hilarious if it weren’t so dangerous. He actually believes this nonsense—and we’re the ones who’ll pay the price. ALL OF US.

The BBC spoke to locals near a big English solar farm and found the panels “do not really bother them” www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

People are talking about his Pope trolling and Alcatraz, rather than the billion dollar corruption scheme.

Another victim. This person asked @jujuliagrace.bsky.social what happens to the money, SHE BLOCKED HER People need to start reporting her to BlueSky

Alan Amos, Reform UK’s candidate for Bedwardine, Worcestershire is a familiar name… He’s a former Conservative MP, but then he decided to stand for Labour, but then went back to the Conservatives and became a councillor. Then he was an independent, now he’s chancing his luck with Reform.

The Labour government is announcing a new initiative today to help UK veterans get easier access to essential care and support through new centres staffed with Regional Field Officers. The first centres will open next year and veterans are being invited to help design how they will work.

If this doesn’t infuriate you, check your pulse.

The UK and the EU pooling resources, rebuilding our partnership and driving progress. It's not rocket science ; )

A reminder of the positives of a Labour government. Pension credit: thanks to a Labour campaign in autumn, the data in February showed over 117k new people receiving pension credit - an increase of almost 46k on the year before, up 64%. This gives people up to £4,300 a year, averaging £3,900. 1/2

Thanks to the Labour Government, around 1.2m households, 700k with children, will be £420 better off each year on average due to Universal Credit changes coming into force today. The changes help those struggling with debt, with the new Fair Repayment Rate reducing debt deductions from 25% to 15%.

This exchange is so very telling. Trump repeatedly claims the photoshopped MS-13 on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's knuckles is real, Terry Moran keeps telling him it isn't, prompting Trump to say this: "I never heard of you. I picked you. You’re not being very nice. He had MS-13 tattooed... Just say yes!"

Expecting Farage to start riots any minute now.

Former Reform candidate avoids jail for £27k charity fraud Daniel Turner diverted Covid grants meant for a youth centre to his own bank account Who does that? A close associate of Andrea Jenkyns & Sean Matthews her campaign manager, that’s who. www.lincolnshirelive.co.uk/news/lincoln...

God there were so many of these…
