Agree. You wouldn't want him to start every game but if he has to play a cameo as injury cover he's passable, especially with the goals he pops up with. When we're losing DCL, Young, Coleman, Harrison, Lindstrom, Broja, Doucoure, possibly Gueye and 2 goalies we have bigger fish to fry than CB!
comment in response to post
DCL has scored 8+ goals in 2 of his 9 seasons. I don't care if he holds up the ball. Holding up the ball doesn't score you goals, playing with passion does.

One final nail in the coffin: DCL earning £100k/w, Beto earning £50k/w. Is DCL worth £2.5m a year more than Beto! Hell no!!!
comment in response to post
Beto. DCL has played 9 seasons under 7 full time managers, and only two seasons has he scored 8+ league goals. Both of these involved Ancellotti. Beto surpassed this in one season actually starting games. He looks ungainly at times but has a higher ceiling, especially with more PL experience.

We are still under a PSR cloud thanks to past two seasons dealing with debt. We will earn approx £60m from BMD takings, we don't want to spend ALL of it on one player. My guess is ~£100m to spend from increased rev, sponsorship deals and less interest on loans, excl. any sales eg Beto or Patto.

Imagine Mexico invading USA, and Trump/Vance are being asked to cede occupied Texas and New Mexico. "You had 50 states, you can afford to lose two. New Mexico belongs to Old Mexico, they had it first up till 1848." Im sure he'd rather dress in drag than give up territory.

Great photos! Two of my personal photos, Church of the Good Shepherd at Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. Second is the view from inside behind the altar.

Oh, that will help! Interestingly, if you look on Google they've been digging out the arches to the right at the end of Errington for the better part of 15 years, maybe to add modern reinforcing or fix the masonry and this maybe a useful spin-off.

Where's that? End of Errington St?

Yeah that's why I gave up 😂😂

I tried paleo (fruit/veg, nuts, meat/fish) for a month and lost about 5kg. Really missed cheese and other dairy though!

Not if you say you are rewarding voters and paying for spokespeople. It's semantics, but those semantics make it stupidly within the confines of the law. The law sucks and needs to be redefined.

And then promptly deleted it all. He knew exactly what he was doing, then reworded it so it was technically within the confines of the law. Hate him. At least it didn't work!

This govt was voted for by the people. A majority thought this was a better alternative than Kamala Harris.
comment in response to post
I hate the man, but law did he break? He reworded the terms so that he was paying spokespeople rather than buying a vote. The prople who "won" were already GOP committee chairpeople that were going to vote GOP, bribe or no. The money didn't go to swing voters who were tempted.

Hubbard Superior May I?

I hope so mate. Looking forward to getting academy really cranking too so we can blood some new talent on the bench. Armstrong is a weapon!
comment in response to post
Fully with you there, and completely understand. At least here I can filter out anyone with MAGA or LFC in their profile 😂😂
comment in response to post
Sick of seeing two goalies, Young, Keane and Patto as our standard bench!

What I'm worried about is squad depth. We're losing a lot of our fringe players, and it's all good having Pickford, Branthwaite, Ndiaye, Alcaraz etc but what happens when they get injured? Look at how tough it's been without Ndiaye and McNeill, we're crying out for more squad depth.

It's hard to get a lot of the Everton inside info here. All the good journos and ITK sources won't leave X because that's where the majority of fans are 😔 so I use X for Everton content and here for everything else.

So true. You're either completely inept, or you've proven that your encrypted chat for top secret military info really isn't that secure. Either way it's damning. The hypocrisy of how they lambasted Hillary's emails and then handwave away this gaffe is astounding.

Wonder how long it took him to put the ring on his bride's finger, probably missed a few times!

I can read and speak passable Japanese and have spent a month there in my school years. Keen to head back.

Much much more expensive to get to from NZ, though. 10 hour flight vs 2x 12 hour flights.

My wife and I (in New Zealand) want to take our kids to Disneyland next year. Looks like we'll be going to Tokyo instead of Anaheim, I dont want to get held at the border while they search my social media for any anti-Trump sentiment (of which they will find lots! 😅)

Sadly non-profits and charities will soon crumble, American ones at least. Their lifeblood has been cut off vis a vis USAID, and now the FBI is criminalising any that received an environmental grant. They just froze Habitat for Humanity's accounts. Clearly showing humanity itself is criminal.

Not sure if you read Harry Potter but it reminds me of Dolores Umbridge, and making Draco Malfoy and Co the Inquisitorial Squad.

The problem with that is the fact that reason behind the DoF failing wasn't the DoF (Thelwell.) It was the ownership, PSR issues and forced austerity because of years of mismanagement. If anything, Thelwell made our first steps to getting things right again.

Apologies, yes @mikeygow.bsky.social. Typo. Mike's lists of Toffees to follow and Kopites to block was invaluable when migrating here.

Not sure, I moved here and grabbed you from an Everton list by Mike Dow. I was staying in a hostel on Granville St (fell in love with a comics & coffee shop next to it), went down to the fan zone, things started looking bad second period so left. Got caught up in tear gas on way back to hostel!

And yet he's tipped to replace Luxon...

Just discovered your photography, it's frickin amazing! Also, you are my spiritual other! A I'm also a long suffering Evertonian, refuse to give up my Nikon D40, and my fave NHL team after I was caught in the Vancouver hockey riot on my OE? The Canucks 😊

How do we defeat half of the United States being I na god-cult? He's going to prevent future elections or just declare JD Vance successor when he's done and THEY WILL GO ALONG WITH IT. He will literally rewrite the Constitution and they won't stop him, they will help him.

They really aren't. I'm friends with a lot of US people on Twitter, and almost every one I knew was MAGA is cheering on those two goons punching down on Zelensky. I'd say maybe 85-90%. They don't care that federal workers are losing jobs, or farmers are losing farms. They have detached from reality.

Probably going to accept an invitation to the White house instead.

Not saying he is a Russian operative, but he wouldn't do anything differently if he was/is.

I fully expected him to cross lines, I just didn't expect the entire GOP to excuse his behaviour and egg him on. I would have thought at least a handful would have had a spine and condemned his behaviour. Shades of 1933.

Can you have a Club Chairman AND a Board Chairman? I don't follow.

He also said planning permission would have been more difficult, as they either would have needed a bigger footprint in a limited space, or go higher, which comes with extra construction costs and more H&S requirements. I think 60k with safe standing is fine.
