comment in response to post

Seeing how many people are still confused about how Switch 2 Editions work makes me think this disclaimer doesn't do its job and is completely unnecessary. It's a shame we don't get at least reversible cover with clean cover art.

Just wanted to ask - will there be an option to have a "retro" font like you have shown in earlier videos?
comment in response to post

Didn't have 360 back then so it's a mix of multiplats I played on PS3 and games I played on One through BC. Wanted to include RDR and Eternal Sonata, but didn't play them enough. Also honorable mention: Tekken Tag Tournament 2. This list showed me I really need to play some 360 exclusives.

So it sucks for people that have 10 Switches or played online with someone from one copy of the game, but there are good use cases - if e.g. Switch 2 won't be compatible with some Switch games you can at least make them playable offline on the old Switch without "primary system" swapping mess.
comment in response to post
From what I read on Nintendo's website the concept of primary and secondary system is now gone - it's just that you can have 2 systems you have your account linked to and can load/unload digital games on the game-by-game basis and all users can play games that are loaded on a system.
comment in response to post
It doesn't really work like the old way and it's not opting out from VGC, but for playing games on different Switches as long as you're online - yep, you can enable "Online License" in user's settings. If you want to play offline you need to use VGC, but it was the same with "primary system".

I don't know what's up with the physical versions. Even in Europe (Poland to be exact), there were many stores selling preorders for ~45$ and suddenly there are only a few selling it for 66-71 bucks. I wanted to buy one for my brother, but it's a nightmare. Hoping for reprints and wish you luck!

Ultimately didn't put platforms because of post length restrictions, but forgot to remove the disclaimer, lol. Anyway, surprised that this category wasn't made after 2000 PC one as some games could have a chance there (or maybe some of the games were just more popular in their PC version in Europe)

Put platforms here, but of course put just game names in the form. 1. Beyond Good & Evil 2. Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc 3. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time 4. Soulcalibur II 5. Silent Hill 2 6. Rayman 2: The Great Escape 7. Tales of Symphonia 8. Space Channel 5 9. Timesplitters 2 10. Darkwatch

Ok, it was a bad example (and I hope that ATLUS won't use game key cards) but SEGA was physical-friendly. But tbh they don't even offer upgrade packs to Switch 2, so they're definitely don't care about consumers (ik, shocking, but there are companies like CD Projekt who do care, so it's doable)
comment in response to post
Oh no... hoped that at least SEGA will release it normally seeing how they were even releasing Xbox games like Metaphor on 2 discs, but now I'm disappointed :/

Already bought Suikoden for PS5, but didn't know if I should buy Lunar for PS5 or Switch... Definitely buying it with Gold Masters and Arzette - gonna throw all money to Clear River for good work :D

The first time internet requirement is there because you have to download the game. The game-key card just works like some PS/Xbox games where you buy the disc, but it's just a license to use it. Nintendo makes it transparent with a huge disclaimer on the box, so unless it'll be abused it's good.
comment in response to post
Yeah, I thought if it's the same shape it may have like two partitions/banks of memory where one would contain a Switch game and the second one with upgrade visible only for Switch 2. It's a no-brainer. I literally wanted to buy two copies of MP4 just to have a nice box and a NS2 version on a cart.
comment in response to post
It could be understood that both Switch game and upgrade pack are on a cart where of course the upgrade is only readable on Switch 2. I still wish it’s the case.

I didn't have plans to buy this game physically as I already have it on Steam, but European release definitely helps with changing my mind :D Many thanks for bringing a lot of goodness!

I'm Polish, so half of these games are just hidden gems produced in Poland that I discovered from random discs. I know they won't make a Top 10, but I just wanted to highlight some interesting games unknown for some people. Some were translated (officially or not) to English, so they're easy to try!

1. Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Day of the Tentacle 3. Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail! (definitely because of Polish dub) 4. Quake 5. Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk 6. Electro Body 7. Heroes of Might and Magic II 8. Pył (Dust; interesting Quake clone) 9. Polanie 10. Teenagent

If you don't have to rush, in two months there will be released a physical version in Asian regions, so you could import it. I saw some US- and Europe-based retailers allowing to pre-order it too. And by then we will have John's video for reference.

Po ograniu Tsushimy zdecydowanie zakupem day one będzie Ghost of Yotei... poza tym mam wrażenie, że póki co nie zapowiedziano wiele gier, którymi byłbym zainteresowany, więc chyba mam na liście tylko Pirates in Hawaii, Suikoden Remastered i Clair Obscur, które nawet nie wiem czy wyjdzie w 2025 😅

On the one hand cable-free play sounds great. On the other hand some of the VR2 exclusives look great - especially Synapse, but I also don't know every exclusives each platform has to offer. I'm probably gonna own both at some point, but for now choosing the first one to have is so haaaard.

I tried out Quest 2 two years ago and wanted to go for it, but I was waiting for it cheaper. Now Jon's video revitalized my interest in VR... And I was do ready to go with Q3S only to see PSVR2 become cheaper. Now I don't know what to start with.

Also Maya together with Arabian Nights: Sinbad's Adventures - both actually were translated German versions to Polish (afaik songs were created for German versions). These and Moomin anime cause Moomin were veeery popular in Poland (we even got our own adaptation that looks rather interesting)
