to me it felt like AAA was really starting to enter an existential crisis in the 2010's and then a handful of games like Breath of the Wild allowed big companies to recapture that cultural dominance and relevance for a little longer. but it also just felt like delaying the inevitable to me.

I'd love to make a game out of this. First you create a riff as a British rock star, then code it into a synth as a Japanese composer, and finally create a huge tune as a Jamaican producer. The translation from riff into Under Me Sleng Teng is so interesting!

I love it that there’s so much Thief that it’s possible to change around like this! TBP is everything i love about the series. It’s so moody, so inspiring, i’m so happy it exists.
