I like to model it as "self-sustaining" vs "substantive". Some people just walk around punch-drunk & it's not clear if they're just fighting for fun, or half-joking, or playing courtier games. Tbh that's part of why I think these platforms are of pretty limited value, no replacement for good-faith.
