talks about truth with Donald Trump, then hypes 'infrastructure' increases that Republicans in Congress all voted no for when Biden did them. Then it turns out his 'infrastructure' change was doing something designed to let companies lay off workers.

They will say that nothing prevents Trump from negotiating or Congress from revisiting the law but the nobody is hurt by the ban remaining in effect.

No. Biden's admin expressly asked SCOTUS not to extend it. They could have decided to do that, and did not. Instead, they upheld the law and did nothing to extend it. He can certainly 'try' asking, but a unanimous decision makes it harder.

Don't know how he plans on reversing a law passed by Congress.

"those tasked with firefighting volunteer for those positions and must meet certain criteria. They are not assigned without their consent."
They mostly do the labor of setting fire breaks so firefighters can focus on firefighting.

These aren't your hardened, dangerous criminals who could use this as a means to escape.

I've stated this before, and I know many don't agree. Inmates are treated FAR FAR better than slaves were. Many of these inmates sometimes earn extra compensation for performing tasks like this or it contributes towards early release.

Wow... he never said this when Republicans were threatening this the last 4 years.

Yup, and I was providing more evidence to support your assertion about the original, not trying to counter it. But I think there was some confusion about what I was referring to since the dream sequence in C.V. was in a pool.

No, in Vacation, he literally gets in the pool with Christie.

Amazing how this man still thinks he can just 'wish' laws and sentencing for crimes into existence.

As a pre-teen in the 1980s.....there was one main reason for that blouse. And the shower scene in Vacation.

The party that says "we should tax the rich less and give the poor less to do it". LOLOLOL

You don't point out someone not being a Christian as a response to them commenting about a Christian unless you are trying to say they have no right to talk about them. And we're laughing at you trying to get on a high horse about the right helping the poor.
comment in response to

You are right. I saw that differently and more in line with what that guy was trying to push originally. Doesn't help his argument. :)

Lol, coming around here thinking non-Christians cannot speak to how a person that wasn't written about until a couple hundred years later acted is the ultimate in blindness. The man cured the diseased. He fed the poor. He ever say "You know, we should all make the poor suffer and the rich thrive"?
comment in response to

Nope. Hence why the guy called that an 'issue'. As if being anti-war is problematic in a person.

It isn't going to be about the data. It's going to be about who is responsible for accidents/deaths/etc. I bet companies who produce these will try and say it isn't their responsibility.

Yes, but he lost Colorado anyway. SCOTUS would've found that it was up to the States to disqualify him. He would've still been on all the battleground state ballots (most having Republican legislatures) and still won.

When Newt Gingrich says that Trump hopes his 'good friend Xi' comes to the inauguration, you know he's already sold us out.

Or to slash programs that would cut costs to them and their business buddies.

Vastly untrue anyway. The point of the 5th is to protect against saying 'anything' incriminating. If he does something TODAY that is illegal, then it isn't covered by his pardon. And if you ask a question that may potentially bring that up, the 5th applies.
comment in response to

You can't argue with people like him about this, because he doesn't believe he ever did anything wrong. They break the law, and they will always claim they didn't. Dems, on the other hand, say 'Yup, Hunter broke the law even if it was a stupid law'.
comment in response to

No you are right. It SHOULDN'T take forever. But regulations are not necessarily the cause. Insufficient reviewers/approvers. Builders who violate every code they can get away with forcing longer looks at plans. Etc.

Let Elon do just that. Driving himself into poverty would be a hoot. Oh wait, it really wouldn't be HIS money he spends. He'd just cry for others to donate.

You think a single one of these 'never-will-be' players stop and think for a second how they would react if the result and location were reversed?

I've always said this: the reason Winter Soldier is so good is that instead of making a superhero movie with a spy movie facet, they made a spy movie that just happens to involve a superhero.

By 'dissent', do you mean post racist, sexist, homophobic, etc messages because they disagree with someone's opinion? Then heck yeah they should be blocked. That isn't 'dissent'.

I'm not missing the point. I'm pointing out that O'Leary is an even dumber idiot than what was already being pointed out. Tariffs only 'work' if the price gets so high for the product that a company won't buy that product from that country.
comment in response to

No one is suggesting 400% tariffs on anything. Probably still would be cheaper than it would be to make in the US.

The other reason this photo doesn't apply is because Caitlin is STILL actually just as good, IF NOT BETTER, than Angel. Therefore assigning Twitter to Caitlin is just some Angel supporter still 'mad' that Caitlin gets more attention.
comment in response to

The whole point of this photo is Angel being whiny that Caitlin hadn't won a ring but got 'all' the attention. Even in the pros, Angel got constant attention. Because that is what it is about her.

Right now Goff is MVP. The only real competition is Jackson. I think Burrow would be in the convo if they had won those games against the Ravens though.
comment in response to

Not a good comparison. One is a rookie of the year and the other gets mad because she thinks she deserves more attention than the great amount she already gets.

Jaire's absence last game was clearly felt. The Lions weren't manhandling the Packers. Having Jaire around would've made locking down a little easier and maybe the Packers would have been a little more in it late.

I once thought about trying for local office, but I realized that in the current political climate anyone who wants to do what best for all people could never get elected.

Amazing how this cabinet is just a bunch of people who have done everything except actually state out loud they want to do something to a certain part of Trump's anatomy.

You are surprised? There was never a moment I didn't think they would eventually make everyone upgrade despite the 'no more versions' promise.

Makes sense. How else can you simply break immigration law and deport millions of people unless you decide you can just 'skip' the investigation part altogether.
