But the pet eating immigrant invasion was still totally real, right?

Neither.

Sorry, that was the entire crash from 61-62, dropped a couple percent during the missile crisis.

Dow fell 5.7% then. Not so same.

So she was what you wanted but you don’t like that she wasn’t what everyone else wanted? That’s true genius there, I’m jealous.

So you don’t want to vote for basic rights, a functioning economy and infrastructure that exists, but you still want to whine about getting what you signed up for.
comment in response to post
You people don’t move the needle in elections. Appeasing as much as it did was the greater mistake.

Why should she do what you won’t?

This is why y’all deserve nothing better.

He has to creat Weimar’s Germany in order to get to Hitler’s Germany.

We didn’t even want to vote for it.

This genius strategy is like placing a tax on your rent payments in order to get you to buy a home instead.

The best part is the tariffs are to pay for tax cuts. If the tariffs make money, then we’re not improving our reliance on foreign goods. If we make more goods here and don’t pay tariffs, we’re not funding the tax cuts.

Don’t forget, done outside of the legislative. Quite simply, taxation without representation. #murika

I see a Starship correlation.
comment in response to post
This is taxation without representation, for all the pretend conservative Americans out there.

It’s really nice inside and as if I tried to draw a Citroen DS from the outside.

Back then it was that crazy guy vs the company actively trying to sabotage EVs vs the company owners still profiting off holocaust gains vs the ceo committing fraud and embezzlement. I’ll take the Peich family all day today.

Oh, you’re not a serious person. My mistake. I assumed I was conversing with a person who understood the the topic. Sure, do whatever. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand anything about the government.
comment in response to post
That makes sense if your understanding begins and ends at the national legislative level. At the local level, in liberal cities, these policies don’t win the hundreds of votes needed to elect local legislators. But I’m sure it’ll work at scale, with more conservative folk.

Make no mistake, I’m for shutting it down. It would be crippling to give the executive full control of the entire federal government. It would not help any people.
comment in response to post
But shutting it down will teach those people trying to shut it down a lesson. Got it.

He can’t invade you if you’re not passed out on the couch. That’s just science.

I wanted to make some frivolous purchases but now I’m going to wait until people get desperate and purchase second hand.

“The whole people must take upon themselves the education of the whole people, and must be willing to bear the expenses of it. There should not be a district of one mile square, without a school in it, not founded by a charitable individual, but maintained at the expense of the people themselves”

They have a flag for everything. No clues, but many flags.

It’s Texas though

It’s the culture.

Y’all love to blame everyone except the people voting in elections. Buckle up Susie, you’re not built for this.
comment in response to post
Threatening to shut the government down in order to oppose the people trying to shut the government down is about as sound of a strategy as pushing for candidates that are too liberal to win votes.
comment in response to post
I’d bet the under on that.

Who is this planet of the apes extra?
comment in response to post
Well, up to now, republicans were voted into power by voters. Thankfully we won’t need to deal with that in the future so WE can absolve ourselves.

We’ve done away with article 1.

It’s not classified because if it was classified it would be a problem.

Our politicians are representative of our voters. Change won’t come because we will never have that hard conversation with ourselves.
comment in response to post
Uh huh. Sure.

Should we assume that veterans are incapable of making decisions for themselves? Or make the assumption that since nobody is surprised at the trajectory, that this is what they voted for?

They know what they’re doing. China wants long term power not simply territory. It’s a lot harder to oppose them when you’re completely alone and China starts putting serious money on one side of the table and reminders of Hong Kong on the other.

And yet he’s the king nonetheless.
comment in response to post
It’s also taxation without representation but I don’t think that has ever been a big deal.
comment in response to post
It’s worse because this could only happen due to our citizens voting FOR exactly this.

Because Taiwan is China, according to China. And Taiwan is China without US protection (which we are no longer guaranteeing).

You can count on people who couldn’t be bothered to fulfill the simplest of civic duties. Or those “more than 70 million” who will never escalate beyond making a clever sign.

Their fight is against the constitution and it is not well equipped to win.

That’s the problem with democracy. But don’t worry, they’re fixing it.
