Good, I’ll keep making fun of him until he either go to a private island or to mars and no one has to hear from him ever again. Even the trumpist family members I have don’t talk about him anymore at least not to my face.

Like how many games get this storm whipped up then normal people actually play it and go “this isn’t as bad as I heard it is” or “this is actually good. Why were people making a big deal?”.
comment in response to

I honestly believe this bs is just an extension of gamergate designed to whip up anger from a group of people that does not actually play many games. I’ve seen too many hate campaigns to believe that it’s not a coordinated effort by a group somewhere.

I’m constantly having to remind myself that I’m part of a bigger network and that I’m not the special one. Helps a lot with the idiots suddenly moving 3 lanes over with no blinkers. If I didn’t have music, I’d probably rage a lot more.

To be fair, I’m subscribed to like 20+ creators, many of which I’ve found through that page. I still continue to find interesting content from people I’m not subscribed to. Like recently I’m seeing stuff about automating adding content to my plex server.

As someone learning to draw: note taken. Gonna experiment with this on some of the stuff I tried to color. I struggle with color so much.

That being said, the landing page does hide a lot of my subscribed content so I realized I needed to change my habit a bit to watch some more creators I like.

That video convinced me to keep a separate tab open for sub feed but I actually use the "for you" page on youtube mainly. I just curated it really well using the not interested in video or channel button extensively as well as seeking out content I want to watch. It can be managed with some guidance

No, things did happen. It’s just that it was easier to escape from it. Things were more local instead of global since the internet was a new thing at the time. I miss when pop culture was all about skating or silliness or whatever. Now? It’s hard to escape unless you stay firmly in real life.

I literally gave people sources in a thread yesterday and even asked them pointblank if they watched it because they weren’t responding to my actual points. Just silence after that. Easiest way to find out if you’re wasting your time is to ask them if they even read or watched what you presented.

I like how I mentioned two sources and people are honing in on something irrelevant and missing the point I was making. You even say it yourself lmao. No one actually responded to the actual point. Bluesky is no better than Twitter in this aspect

This is where dedicated forums combined with spoiler tags and moderators were really nice in the 2000s. Sure, people got spoiled back then but it was considered rude to do it without a spoiler tag or making it clear that a thread was about something with the first word being spoiler in the title.

Okay so the videos that I saw and even traced to the dnc campaign (to be sure that it’s real) are just a lie? Have you watched the video I mentioned at all? Because you’re not really responding to anything at all besides not liking one source.
comment in response to

I’m not going to get in a debate about a YouTuber that is largely hated by both left and right wingers. I was providing examples about how the dnc shame men and get mixed up in identity politics. She has actual
Ads from them. That’s why I listed the exact video title. You don’t have to like her.

I’m so glad I don’t see those articles as much anymore. It just got old as a 30 something year old millennial who has a job and worked hard and still don’t have what my parents or grandparents has. Apparently I don’t skip enough on the coffee and avocados /s

I’m pointing this because I didn’t see any of this because it was a very targeted campaign with a billion dollar backing it. I’m a white leftist (actual left not the dnc left). I found these videos because I was trying to figure out how the fuck did we fail so badly against an obvious fascist.

Another good one is shoeonhead’s video titled “the downfall of the democrats”. That one really focus on the atrocious attempts to bring men over to the left. Going so far as to say “you don’t matter, your feelings are irrelevant.”
comment in response to

Some more news has a video out on that very subject. It’s a great video. It made me see some of the godawful marketing that I never got targeted by during the election. “Is everyone stupid? A election investigation” is the name.

This was sort of me with dragon age. I managed to avoid major plot lines of veilguard. I’m 3/4th of the way into
Inquisition. The story beats hits less hard in inquisition because I got spoiled on the twist (the rest of the story is pretty wild tho).
comment in response to

Before anyone jumps on me: I’m in favor of trans right and I’m all for giving equity to everyone. It’s just that the dnc can’t message that without coming off as pandering and inauthentic. Solving the root issues like housing, access to healthcare, and greed would do better than lip service.

Dems losing the election should have made them wake up and dump the corpo “consultants” that lost them several elections already. Idk why they thought telling dems to drop the effective rhetoric in favor of shaming men and going all in on the “woke” politics that most don’t care about

Bought it immediately when it came out on steam. I already own a physical copy of it on ps1 but having modern controls and ultra wide support is so nice on the steam version

I bought the 1+2 remake and enjoyed that after they fixed it up a little bit.

I’ve only played FFXV so I can vote for that being good (it’s long too with the dlcs). All the other options have great reviews

I totally would cycle more if it was safe to do so. Just that my city’s idea of a bike lane is either nothing or a thin painted on strip of the road. Next to the cars zooming by at 55 mph

I read them on my phone sometimes and I just leave when the site inevitably breaks since these ads aren’t designed for mobile. Seems counterintuitive to me since they want time to read it.

I did a little tsk tsk and said oh boy when I read this. BioWare of old was the master of raising your hope and dashing them. Don’t worry, your dream of having droid companions can still live on. Just not that specific one..

I’ve.. never thought about something like this as a design choice and now it’s just objectively better than the usual way I seen multiple play styles depicted. Assuming it’s balanced well so it’s fun across all roles.

Framework is definitely pricy. Doesn’t stop me from wanting their 16 inch variant with the modular gpu. I really like the idea of just swapping the mainboard and someone managed to get their old one to play like a handheld in a custom 3D printed chassis.

Exactly the reason why I bought my ps5 disc edition. I have very few digital games.

That’s better than before. 1000GB ssds are less than $100 and 2TB are hovering pretty close to $120-$130. I wouldn’t have an issue with it if I could add in extra storage on my own.

Oh it’s definitely expensive. I’m just glad Apple finally decided to get off the 8GB train and made all the base models 16GB now. I’m also so glad the ports are back. I was super tempted for a while to go for a base m4 pro

I’m on the opposite spectrum. I care too much about the games I’ve played to the point where I’ve written extensive reviews about them on steam. I got one cooking right now (steam notes is coming in clutch).

Yeah I would like to try a windows arm laptop at some point. There’s some thing I don’t like about Macs that I mitigated somewhat with third party programs. I might make the jump if my Mac ever dies. Honestly my biggest issue right now is Apple charges a huge premium for better storage.
comment in response to

My understanding is that there are some growing pain just like the m1 Mac. Some program won’t work and some will. Just gotta do some research to see if the programs you have will work on them. The webcams on these laptops are apparently amazing compared to most other laptops.

Same, I also never have to worry about pulling it out of my bag and it being dead because it somehow did stuff while asleep. Windows sleep states is apparently really finicky and unreliable depending on the states it uses.

I had the fortune of waiting for forbidden west to come out so I played other games while waiting. Pick a small game to play through to clear your palate. It took me 100 hours to be satisfied with forbidden west.

I do it often enough that I think about just hanging up a pegboard and just organizing my cables that way with labels so I can easily find them without spending 20 mins to find a cable lol.

I’ve tried to explain games to people before and just calling it a single genre feels like doing a disservice to the games I enjoy. I’m playing dragon age at the moment and calling it a dark fantasy rpg just feels like it’s less than it actually is.

Just read the YouTube comments on any DF videos. They’re still going on about it despite the evidence saying otherwise. The mega geometry video was just embarrassing. Full of people complaining about a net improvement to performance on entry/mid level gpus for path tracing.

I’m the same way with kingdom come deliverance 2 and dragon age veilguard. I have both sitting in my library whenever I get done with dragon age inquisition. Reviews can be great but sometimes it just doesn’t matter what they say. I have to see it for myself.

Idk why YouTube even recommend those “this game suck” when I never watch them. I go more for “should you buy?” by either gameranx or ACG for a more well rounded look at a game.
Also circle toon has an amazing video essay on halo 3 that is exactly the vibe you’re looking for.

Anyone that knows anything about classified systems and how data is built on trust should be very concerned why a unelected official need access to much of the computer systems in government. Especially one that can't pass a secret clearance due to his drug abuses and ties to far right despots.

Are they trying to kill our food supplies? It just sounds like the corps got told to release the water and some idiot just suggested opening the dams so that’s what they did.

My steam library alone feels like a mountain to climb. Not even counting the switch games and ps5 games. I’ve played many of them but 600 games is a lot to go through.
(Yes, I finished rise of the tomb raider where this is from).
