she is also unused to petting and responds to any handling by using her mouth. Her head and ears are scarred, which indicates this is what she was taught by the other dogs in the hoard. Our goal is to get her to the point where she can be safely adopted.

Fortunately, the adopter is still committed. We're boarding the dog at no cost while we work through this issue. I'm drafting a treatment plan this evening.

The English bulldog and the dachshund have already been adopted, and the St. Bernard is on hold for adoption this weekend. The German Shepherds are both behavior cases that I've been asked to help with.

Mina hasn't gotten brave enough yet. And our town beach is closed to dogs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so we might be done for the season.
