FWIW the correct answer was, "Most AI you've heard of is unfairly trained on stolen materials, and is absolutely not ready for prime time."

What a ridiculously beautiful photo that screams the 80's. I love it.

They sold Americans, they will privatize every sector that we pay taxes on already

Always come in armed to the teeth against unarmed people. How fucking cowardly can you get? I hope they ALL face trial.

I was a NYC police officer and detective and served honorably in Bed Stuy and Crown Heights for most of my career.
These ICE “officers” are cowardly garbage scraped together from bounty hunters, militia wackos, dishonorably discharged ex-military, and I’m certain some January 6th rioters.
Fuck them

is it time for all of us to start buying those fake ICE vests and jackets, cover our faces and just wear them all of the time everywhere?
wear these and flashmob surround the ICE “agents” as they attempt kidnapping?
if “they” ask for ID, make them show first
and take pictures of THEIR IDs

There are about 400 street gangs in Los Angeles, and LAPD probably arrests at least a few gang members every day, while wearing normal police uniforms. Yet ICE takes over a street, looking like they're going in to Fallujah, to pick up some dishwashers and line cooks. They're trying to terrorize us.

Why can't they show their faces? Only criminals wear face-coverings.

That’s what I keep saying. Let’s just call them the SS or Gestapo and stop beating around the bush. ICE is a law enforcement organization that is bound by the law, these are hired thugs, just white nationalists.

Here's the thing, they are not represented here. If you were to call up the FBI and ATF, they would tell you that none of their people were there and they would be telling the truth.
Noem and Homan have raided the stockpiles of those organizations to outfit their UNTRAINED gestapo.

These ICE douchebags are trying to provoke an incident to give SHITLER an excuse to impose martial law.

It wouldn't have been a problem if he committed to being a one term president from the start and the party spent 4 years dismantling Trumpism while looking for the next leader.
Instead we got Biden adhering to norms so much it killed his successors campaign

My issue is that democratic leadership did not appear to do due diligence relative to President Biden's capacity to withstand 4 more years. Democrats do not think out of the box, even in such dire times. As a lifelong democrat I feel betrayed.

They pushed him out too late to have a primary and saddled us with a candidate that underperformed in the 2020 primary. All while lying about his health and cognitive ability for his entire term. They also continue to run interference for other cognitively impaired reps. And, they lost to Trump.

Today I did a double take at a Newsweek story titled “Trump‘s ratings soar” I felt infuriated and helpless. What is wrong with people? Then I read the article. Trump‘s ratings went up 2%. 2%. That’s the definition of soaring according to newsweek

That McCardle a
oped demanding a reckoning - what exactly do they want Democrats to do? And why isn’t the media demanding a reckoning from the gop for foisting a felonious, wanna be autocratic rapist on us?

What's so frustrating and always had been is the double standard between Trump/MAGA folks and any democratic leader.
The Dems have to be nearly perfect - never a single mistep. Trump can be blatantly ignorant & corrupt - a felon even - and half the country is fine with that.

True, but the last-minute effort, which ultimately didn't work, wasn't even in response to a new situation or information. Voters had been clear about not wanting Biden to run again for years, dating back to 2021! The question is *why* it took Dems so long to listen.

Pelosi, Schumer, etc ... all had a tough conversation with Biden that they arguably should have had in 2022. There's also the question of totally misreading the midterms. Kelly, Whitmer, Shapiro, Fetterman, Hobbs all won their races *in spite* of Biden. It wasn't evidence that he should run again

Not really. Biden was famous not just for a stutter as a young man, but for odd speech habits, a propensity for gaffes and what falls under the category of speech aphasia. (See Wasthington Post article from 1986) None of these are related to intelligence www.newspapers.com/article/the-...

Liberal media spends a lot of time trying to appeal to conservative voters and they think this weird mea culpa will endear them to that group and their faux accountability will create some kind of appearance of legitimacy in the eyes of the right. They are wrong.

I do think some of the media criticism is fair, but have to laugh at the "media covered this up" montages which feature... TV reporters pressing Democrats on Biden's health and acuity.

Remember: It was *his own staff* the pushed for the earliest presidential debate in decades because they were so confident his performance would jolt the race in his direction! This was obviously a colossal miscalculation but also that's in some considerable tension with the cover-up framing.
