Got to Gale's backstory and had a revelation.

The good news about Baldur's Gate 3 is that, if you think a character has a dumb motivation, don't worry. They're always a single persuasion check away from changing their entire point of view.

It's hard to overstate just how much the Pathfinder 2e mod for BG3 has revived my interest in it. I went from struggling to think of any character build that interested me to exploiting the fuck out of stealing from Withers so I could keep fine tuning multiple builds.

it’s always two dumb bitches telling each other exactlyyyy

As far as posting days go, this is up there with Four Seasons Landscaping.

Never been a more appropriate time for this gif.

Me: doing this My wife: “Do you want a bag?” Me: “No, I’m good.”

I think I’d enjoy being a video game streamer, but I’d want to become one the same way people become children’s book authors: become famous for something else first so it’s easy.

Good reminder for folks: be careful about the Itch bundles you join, do your research. One particular one that’s gaining steam right now appears to be focused on medical aid in Ukraine but is going to an organization that also spends considerable money on drones and weaponry.

being intimidated by bluesky is so funny. yeah i keep getting my ass kicked every time i go to bath and body works

Scott Pilgrim is a fun movie because it's like, "Oh, Michael Cera being awkward and geek references, visual comedy, cool!" And then Brie Larson comes on the screen, does *that* song, and then the movie keeps going as if you're able to think about anything else.

just a reminder that the dem who ran this campaign unseated a 3x gop incumbent who had never won by less than double digits

Oh like stopping funding for weapons in Israel, protecting trans rights, and universal healthcare? Surely you mean popular positions like that, right?

Endlessly generated dialogue is just going to convince your players that talking to NPCs is a waste of time and, soon enough, they'll stop talking to all your NPCs.

I hadn’t given Harm Clerics much thought, but Shadowheart is a Harm Warpriest in BG3’s PF2 mod, and I’m starting to see the appeal. A one-action Harm is a really solid way to add extra damage reliably.

It’s amazing how Democrats continue to find the worst way to implement any strategy.

Favorite part of the new Game Changer was Becca just wanted to play some games.

Mandarins are essentially gushers for adults.

I’ve had a pretty difficult challenge with writing spells the way I have for my TBD fantasy game. Each one has a thematic price related to its effect, and that price has to be relevant even if the spell’s effect doesn’t occur. While difficult, I think it’s led to some fun design too, like this:

My wife’s latest challenge to me: make an RPG where one of dice mechanics is called, “cinnamon.” That way, I can tell players to “give me a cinnamon roll.”

Today I learned that my wife thought “JRPG” stood for “Junior RPG.”

Important update to my PBTA fantasy game:

Happy Pride!

Baldur's Gate 3 is so much fun when you mod out the 5e. My Bard gets to do so much more cool Bard shit in Pathfinder 2e. Plus Lae'zel becomes a truly terrifying force of nature on the battlefield once you give her Quick Jump and Sudden Charge.
