So please take care of yourselves. Things are rough all over, but I've appreciated having you around. I'll talk with you later. Goodnight.

Other than that, I'm doing fine. I just saw Life of Pi and loved it. If you like well-produced big budget theater, I highly recommend giving it a chance.

Also, it's crazy to think that the Pulse nightclub shooting happened nine years ago now. The world has changed so much since then, and I'm not sure if it's all for the better.

Another endearing fact about this year's ceremony. My first year watching was the Hamilton year. Curious to see what they do for the return... I hope it's "Farmers Refuted." I feel it's overdue.

I'm not as on top of my Tony predictions this year, but I'm betting on Operation Mincemeat to take it. As far as performances I'm excited to see, Boop! and Dead Outlaw are near the top of that list. Curious to see the Penzance update as well.

It's also exciting to know that The Sparks now have my favorite player on the team. Been a Plum fan since '21 and this may be the first time my fav is on a hometown team. Usually had to wait 1 or 2x a year for that honor.

There's a whole dance track that's just "Everybody knows I'm sad." Not since society thought that "Summertime Sadness" deserved a remix has copping to depression been so silly.

Anyway, time to see what McKinley Dixon has been up to. Really liked his last album and am sure he's got another gem in tow.

3. Buena Vista Social Club is pretty great as a cast recording, even if it sounds exactly like the real thing. Probably will be fun to see on stage, especially since the musicianship is so spot on. Can't say it's my favorite story otherwise, but the energy is immaculate. Watch the doc if you haven't

2. Real Women Have Curves sounds like a fun should rich with personality and memorable song choices. It's nice to see Los Angeles get a musical once in awhile. It's a typical coming of age story, but I can't deny the harmonies are infectious.

1. Boop! is so delightful and Jasmine Amy Rogers is a revelation. Near the top of favorites for this season and likely to be a great spectacle.

Not that anyone asked, but there is a reason I haven't listened to Tha Carter series in over 15 years.

Not sure if this is reinventing anything, but it's so damn charming so far.

Do you remember the 21st night of September? Yeah, that's when episode five aired with the big twist where they revealed the face-hugger's cousin.

I could imagine. Art tends to be inspired by older art. I don't know much about Dickens' take on David Copperfield, but I'm sure he knew how to levitate or something from what I've heard.

That finale was ridiculous. Still want to believe OKC will bounce back, even though the last team Indiana beat in this way didn't look so hot.

I've never been sure of what qualifies is artistic liberties with adaptations, so it's nice to see the worlds feel alive with minute details that build emotion and personality. I've heard this compared to The Wire before, and can see how. It's very intimate and episodic in a similar way.

For what it's worth, the opening reminds me of "A Passage to India" by E.M. Forster just in terms of using geography to emphasize the psychology of characters. I'm guessing that's where he got it from, or at least other similarly topographic authors.
