By visiting Tom Lenthall, he's now part of the AutoAlex universe...
...which means that, thanks to a previous cross-over, so is Clarkson.

Mussolini - I thought that had been debunked, or at least "ah, but"ed... something about only the tourist-used trains run on time, as those tended to be reported on widely. The local trains for local people, they were about as reliable as Northern Trains...

I've just seen @happytoast.bsky.social's sketchalong sketch of Estonia's act. My first thought was "John Wick"...

Anyway, I'm here mostly for the non-work stuff. If you want my work, try my linkedin profile - www.linkedin.com/in/thomasrus... - but that's had more music recently as well...

The normal brent ozar effect (as in, for a mention in his emails) was, to my memory, about 1500+ additional views.
It's been a while since I was last referenced in one of Brent's emails. But it's been a while since I blogged there - my words are now at www.coeo.com/whats-new/?t...

Great. After an evening rehearsing Mozart, Brahms, and Tchaikovsky failed to shift a G&S earworm ("There is beauty in the bellow of the blast") which came from I HAVE NO IDEA, I now have this battling with Koko & Katisha... *sigh*
I need to sleep. This isn't helping.

Look, machine learning can do amazing things with analyzing specific, limited data sets (cancer detection! crop records over time!) when programmed by an expert.
The use of LLMs is ... not that.
:sigh:

Great. Now I've got Noel Coward's "There are dark times just around the corner" clashing in my head with Tom Lehrer's "Be Prepared"...

Thanks!
It's odd to start thinking of queries running in microseconds rather than milliseconds... ... And that I could probably get some more performance out of it...

I haven't managed to justify that expense yet - but the way my eyes are aging, I can sense it coming in a couple of years time... :-/

But, yeah, I know what you mean. I like it when it tells me what note to play and where to rest the harmonicifying finger (if you see what I mean) - much easier than working it out from first principles. Particularly when sightreading / just doing a playthrough of something for shiggles.

Yeah, I know, hardly little-known or marginalized, but might be the right style of thing.
Maybe they have others in the range, that might be more appropriate to your requirements.
Maybe I've finished the Cointreau, and therefore can't be bothered to go searching right now. This seems probable.

My dad wrote one called "Coffee With Mozart", that may be of the sort of level you're looking for.
I've just checked on amazon uk, and the prices are eyewatering. I'm guessing it's out of print, which isn't helpful...

Frankly, I really ought to get new laptop - this one is now about 7 years old, and creaking a bit - it's really good at destroying its own fans, for example. I've replaced them at least three times.
But, yikes, the price of these beasts...
