Very bad move. This will have dire consequences on US reputation, worldwide geopolitical stability and nuclear proliferation.

Russia's imperialism has no limit. Never forget what Putin was saying in 2014. 👇

🇺🇦🇺🇸🇷🇺 The recognition of an illegally occupied territory seized by force would be a terrible outcome.
But it is nothing compared with making russia understand it can achieve its geopolitical objectives by starting a war of agression.
These are not peace talks, dark times are coming.

There is no downgrading, they knew Ukraine would never accept this proposal, FM never intend to join this talk.
It's just another made-up story to make Ukraine look like the side who doesn't want peace.
Shameful.

No one should be shocked by this. Its what Trump has been saying for years. The shocking thing is that people fooled themselves that we would not reach this point. The future of freedom and democracy in Europe is entirely in Europe's hands. I hope Europe does not blow it.

How is it clear ? Ceasefire violations where recorded on both sides of the demarcation line.

How is it obvious? How do you know those 402 were mostly ukrainian shelling ?

And moreover, you are mistaking shelling with ceasefire violations.
For example in this report 👇 the OSCE recorded explosions in non-government controlled area caused by a training exercise.
So on the maps, points in separatists area can be caused by separatists.
comment in response to

Those OSCE maps clearly show an increase in the number of ceasefire violations but do not state who is responsible for it.
When you read the reports (you should have done it) it is clear that the ceasefire violations occurred on both sides of the demarcation line. 👇

They are not the same thing but they represent the West.
comment in response to

No. if you read those OSCE reports, you would have learn that ceasfire violations occured on both sides of the frontline.
Any evidence that the AFU had amassed half their army on the line of contact ? The OSCE has certainly noticed such a movement. Can you provide a report about that ?

You think they want to join the EU ? I'm not sure. Those people are still angry about the NATO intervention in 1999.
comment in response to
post
No, OSCE reports show an increase in the ceasefire violations but doesn't say who is responsible for it.
