Oof!

Yeah I'm like a -7 or more for nearsightedness. It sucks.

What's your reading glasses prescription? I tried multifocal contacts a couple years ago and hated it. Didn't work as well for distance vision and made it worse for reading. Went to a new doctor, and he said my reading vision isn't bad enough yet to make the multifocals worth it.

Once you get deep into your sophomore year year in electrical engineering, i (or j) becomes super important moving forward.

He needed some time to figure out what Alcatraz is and watch a movie about it first.

Going to ask an odd question. Where in Center City could one purchase a Foosball ball today?

Thanks! Looking forward to it.

They'll probably help to keep the Iranian National Team from entering the country. Is that what you mean? 🙄

I think the next gen red line demarcation will be made for us automatically when the top 3 to 4 conference break off and have their own $$$ tournament and the NCAA hosts an event for the best of the rest. Oh, and is Gonzaga a mid-major? ;)

I still have fond memories of Big Blue stealing Pistol Pete's mustache at the WAC tourney years ago.

Waiting for him to hype up the Double Dunk it Bucket.

I've had this feeling for awhile but the NC State opening gives an interesting wrinkle.

No cyclist trouble today then?

Been in your shoes before. It's tough. Hopefully you'll rebound into an even better situation.

I mean if this is any guide, none of us have any hope: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i93v...

Not in the same boat as you because of my size. A cyclist would slow down for me. In your shoes I'd dodge the bike but drop whatever you're carrying in the sidewalk. They either slow down to avoid a crash, get their tires spiked, or lose control enough that they'd think twice about doing it again.

Big, but a terrible program with poor fan support. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

So now they'll just take out every worker at the OSC and MSPB - render them useless figure heads? I hate this timeline.

RSL fans were lucky this way too. Once the Apple deal happened, I basically stopped watching MLS altogether. Already pay enough for online sports platforms, so it's getting ridiculous.

NWS should at least troll the idea and call it the Gulf of América

It's affecting the private sector too, or anyone doing business with scientists and academics.

Oh FFS.

We have about 4 inches of snow and sleet just north of Cville. Looks like a lull for a while before some showers start up again later.
comment in response to post
I think that 3-6 inch line will be more north if you compromise between GFS and Euro. I don't think C'ville gets 6-10 inches. Still a long ways out. Will be a big impact either way.

Rolling maul with no binding, dragging or collapsing rules. This could turn a lot of heads if it catches on.

When is the ribbon cutting? I'm a colleague of Jay and Keith. This is important work. Have a great visit!

This play has everything!

At least they stopped playing them on boats....

I was at that game. Don't remind me. ;)

They also didn't get chicken pox which gave a legitimate reason to stay home and watch these shows.

Sports is why I joined Twitter in early 2008, but it was also useful for real time news and severe weather info. The Insta algorithm can't handle this as the norm. A hurricane warning popping up at the top of your feed 4 days after landfall really jolts your system if you aren't paying attention.
comment in response to post
I think the difference on twitter now is that the algorithm can keep your voice and influence hidden while doubling down on opposing points of view. It may have been different in the past, but the changes will make it more likely you're shouting into a brick wall.

Nice shot, and if you listen close before impact you'll here it saying, "Backstreet Boys!"
comment in response to post
Yes. There are already other Rams here too!
comment in response to post
See a lot of this on the weather channel who have a pretty substantial captive audience in hurricane season.

The catalyst is different for everyone, but it is a required step to get someone out from under the spell.
comment in response to post
This also rings true for those who can't/won't get out of destructive religions. You can tell them anything you want and feed them evidence, but the compartmentalization is real and there has to be a catalyst or collision of silos in their brain before a realization occurs.

Leading contender is Utah Yeti. Utah HC is also on the short list to stay FFS.

If it plays out anything like here, she'll lose and then the governor will just place her on the state board anyway.

You? I dunno. If they switched it to green it would still look the same to me as a colorblind person. Probably a better way to do this altogether.

The bonus is you'll stay safe from Last Christmas.
