It's unbelievable that the President unilaterally declared a ceasefire that never existed, and now news outlets are running headlines that say things like, "Ceasefire Broken." Are you stupid? Are all of you idiots? Do they give you a life jacket when you order soup at restaurants?

More and more coming to the idea that some of us need to go "the factories are gone and that's good"

i am simply asking the press to cover the government sending masked thugs to rip people from their crying children and shipping them to a foreign concentration camp with the same ferocity they cover a trans kid playing jv tennis in sheboygan

Putin is, at core, a modernday Hitler. There is nothing else to say.

You really, really need to read @rtraister.bsky.social on Zohran vs Cuomo, and how this race is a view into the glowing, melting down radioactive core at the center of the problem right now. substack.com/home/post/p-...

Please teach your children to admit when they make a mistake, apologize for it, and correct the behavior. Please make your home a place that is safe for mistake admission. Because I swear I see 35+ year olds that behave like toddlers all over the place.

I will not tolerate this Californication of Chicago.

according to conservatives on the court, the constitution does not protect your right to your own body but does enable the government to ship you off to a foreign gulag without any hope of return

have u guys seen andor lol

“Why do Democrats want to send our money to Ukraine for war when we have people who need help in America?” *bombs Iran and cuts SNAP/Medicare*

We need to put a stop to all op-ed writers that bought into the “Donald The Dove/Democrats Are The Party Of War” delusion until we can figure out what the hell is going on.

“The President” is just a character Trump is playing on TV. He’s the President because he likes being the protagonist on the show he sits his delusional elderly ass on the couch to watch every day. He considers himself the greatest game show host on Earth. That game show being The World.

The position of the Trump administration is that you don’t even need or deserve to know why we went to war, the actual facts are irrelevant, and you should just trust them no matter what

Pretty amazing that a former president will sit quietly as one of his successors orders US troops into American cities and ships innocent people off to concentration camps—but feels compelled to speak up when a fellow HR nightmare is at risk of losing to another member of the same party.

It genuinely funny, if not a bit sad, that every time Trump breaks a law the initial reaction from the Dems is to call for a new law (that they can’t pass) to make whatever Trump just did extra illegal.

really sums up the media’s coverage of the Trump presidency

lol

NYT headline: “Trump may just have unconstitutionally started war with Iran, but Biden’s mental decline was the real constitutional crisis”

If it's market rate, it's just housing for rich people and must be opposed. If it's affordable housing, it's not affordable enough. If it's deeply affordable housing, then "street conditions and neighborhood safety will get worse." Also, what about parking??

Certain activists fought market-rate housing in the Mission, arguing 100% affordable housing was the only option. 2 Mission orgs then proposed 100% affordable housing & the same activists are now fighting it. It’s never been about “affordable housing.” It’s always been about straight-up NIMBYism.

i like that the unsc had an oddly realistic space warfare doctrine for a video game and the covenant was just kind of like [space magic]

In this house we believe The state enjoys a monopoly on legitimate violence Violence can only be legitimate when constrained by the rule of law Agents of state violence should be uniformed and accountable to the people

Every time a rich person tries a threat like "if you do [political thing I don't like] then I won't try to make money anymore" I don't believe them. Why would anyone? Yeah buddy, you'll forgo that extra million simply because it isn't the $1.1 million you originally thought you'd get. Sure Jan.

amtrak’s marketing team gets it

Trump winning a second time caused being an asshole to be victory coded with morally corrosive effects that will be felt for generations.

You know your ideas are correct and good when you need to rewrite the entire corpus of human knowledge in order to arrive at them.

it's amazing how effectively the anti-Zohran crowd and media has managed to make it seem like he actually SAID "globalize the intifada" instead of being asked about other people saying the phrase and essentially responding "it's complicated." Meanwhile Cuomo is pro-bono lawyer to a war criminal.

Campists bashing out 10,000 words to insist Russia’s reasons for invading are noble complex and every couple of months Putin just says “I’m the imperialism guy. I love doing big 19th century violent imperialism.”

The reason ICE agents won’t let elected officials into detainment centers is because they’re treating detainees so inhumanely that they don’t think it will survive a news cycle. Think Abu Ghraib. The images and videos that will surface after this is over are going to horrify you to your core.

Nah it must be the NATO expansion

Honestly believe that none of this would’ve happened if my country were actually filled to the brim with good-natured moral people as opposed to complete pieces of shit. We have a piece of shit problem in the US and it starts and ends with the parents tbh.

As a Lithuanian with an Irish partner I beg people to stop trying to suggest either of our countries had it harder.

US foreign policy failures from 2014 to 2021 set much of the groundwork for the wars in Sudan, Ukraine, Israel and Gaza, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the Houthi blockade, and now Iran. Never forget who was the president for most of that time. Never let MAGA forget, either.

Two weeks you say?

Yeah man. Think we have to dismantle an agency that's sending masked dudes in civvies to raid baseball teams. Absolutely lost their fucking minds to try to do shit like this.

Just some creepy armed Mad Max guys trying to gain entry to Dodgers Stadium. ICE says it wasn’t them. DHS says they were Border Patrol. But honestly who the hell knows? They’ve given permission for any psycho to put on a ski mask, point a gun, grab people & throw them into an unmarked vehicle.

The "Dems and Reps are the same" crowd must be so excited that another group of brown people can be exploited to push their agenda. I can't wait for them to instantly forget about Iran's existence the nanosecond this is over, like how they did with Afghanistan. Yeah, I still won't let that slide.

Trump is in some ways a villain from a fairy tale. You have make yourself grotesque in some way to serve him. For men, he emasculates you and makes you a servile dog, taking a picture of himself with you where he smirks and you look sunk. for women, he mutilates your face

On Juneteenth, we honor the activists who fought for the freedom of Black Americans. Today, we uphold their legacies by fighting against systems of oppression that continue to limit opportunity and access to safety and mobility in our communities.

I’m not sure we can say everyone is welcome here until we enable them to have a place to live
