Every time I hear it I remember visiting my older sister at Drew University @drewuniversity.bsky.social when I was a young teen, and became MUCH more grownup over those 4 days.... it was "the song of the month" then....

THAT is an old plate! The black California plate was from decades ago, wasn't it? My older sis had one in the 70s!

It's a little too late. You should have posted that BEFORE the election.

Don't know how I had missed this news, being a NYT & WaPo junkie, but I've spent the past few hours reading many of the obituaries & tributes. Sought yours out, thinking he'd have been someone you admired. Remember using his book in '81 (spent 5 weeks in Europe on my way to Nepal).

As an American now living overseas, my first thought was "WHAT rights?!" I'm floored how generous the rights are for travelling consumers in Europe.

Ah, that's near the water view of Ross Castle, right? I stumbled upon a deer near the water there a few weeks ago. Gorgeous spot!

I camped the night of a WICKED storm there, once. The morning was beautiful, though! ⛺️

Nice! I tried to get the photographer gig for the weekend. No luck.

My husband taught Ancient Greek & Latin, and educated me about the very common practice of homosexuality among the Roman soldiers & gladiators. It's ridiculous any filmmakers would not include it in their movie.

I would hope so! The population of NYC is higher than the population of all of Ireland.

Interesting! There's also 2 competing groups here in Kerry. Dark Sky Kerry and Kerry Dark Sky. Politics. Nasty politics.

I still recall the 1st time I heard of Madonna. Limelight in NYC, bar/club in a converted church (big). Music videos still kinda new. They played Virgin on screens in the club, guys just stopped in their tracks, mesmerised. I said "WTH?" & my friend Cyndi said "that's Madonna. The guys luv her!"

There were MANY hoops to jump through to get the designation - I wonder if the full (long) name is required, too??
