Look, I told my son that he was capable of working hard and being able to make the USMNT based on the previous year or so of watching this team. The last few games make me think he might have to work harder to do that (I can let the kid dream for now)

Over the last year, I had finally started winding down the anxiety and stress of constantly looking at bad news (started during COVID) and being stuck to news feeds and socials to keep up with crazy stuff. Down to checking like once a day. I'm trying to figure out how to not fall off the wagon again

If I want iced coffee or tea, I'll ask for iced coffee or tea. I hate specifying hot when asking for coffee. I don't make a big deal of it to baristas or other service employees, because it's the other customers who are the problem, not me or workers.

Happy national best friends day, nobody

I love the KC Current, but this game against Gotham should be tied or 2-1 right now. Procedural stuff with officiating and VAR is a mess.

Touchdown! Kan! Sus! City!

I don't normally buy white running shoes but I found a pair my size on clearance, normally $100 for $32.

Guys the economy is cooked. Dodge Viper GT owner shopping at warehouse club big box store.

What if Bruce Banner turned into the Hulk when he got sad instead of mad. He'd get sadder and stronger, but also didn't really want to fight because he was sad

Newish term to me heard in a meeting today: rizzaster

I don't care if it's a nearly 80 degree day in May, I'm making a peppermint mocha and having it in my Starbucks Christmas cup

I'm just not seeing the path to where AI completely replaces human tech workers. It's another tool we use to help improve quality, security, performance, efficiency, and scale. The creativity that happens when teams of people work together to provide novel ways to solve problems surpasses AI.

I don't know much about the whole white smoke thing, but I drove by Burger King today and there was white smoke out of the chimney there

I started coaching youth sports whenever my kids were on a team. It's something I do not intend to continue to do once my kids are no longer playing. It's been like 7 years and something like a combined 30 seasons worth between both of my kids. I'm just beat down.

This toad was very frustrated that I disturbed his home (a hole I had dug up a few days before to plant a tree today)

Had back spasms for the first time last night. I was trying to play electric bass at the time. So that did not go well. Not sure how people with continual back pain do it. After a practice session, I sat on the ground. Couldn't stand up. Every deep breath, mid lower back sized and spasmed.

Not a decoration. Tired of dogs jumping on me when I go for a run.

Just got around to watching the Arsenal highlights (job, kids soccer, etc) and wow. Rice hit two of the absolute best free kicks I've ever seen. And to do it twice in the span of like a dozen minutes... No words can capture how impressive they were

Doing thermodynamics equations to try and figure out how long my new hot water heater will take to give me hot water

Today, I decided to skip lunch and then just not exercise because my hot water heater is broken and will be replaced tomorrow. Feels like the right trade off.

Come on, this is America we are talking about. It would make more sense to the American people to call this an intentional safety.

My quality of life improved when I stopped listening to all sports related podcasts

I like baseball

I've been trying to teach my son benefits of regular/consistent practice. Our goal is one of us juggles the soccer ball 20 times in the air. After 2 weeks of daily 15 to 45 minutes, I hit 12 this afternoon. As someone who's who has never been especially athletic, it's a win I'm proud of.

It reads like a fake headline in an episode of 30 Rock "Tracy Gladly Welcomed Back to Madison Square Garden After Vomiting Episode"
