13 miles, we used to have one in my town, and also a magistrates court, but the Tories closed both & now we have a crime spree and a court backlog should we be so lucky to catch one of the scrotes

But I didn’t mean MY illegal workers, the ones I exploit and only pay a 1/3rd of the normal rate.

If she has read them it was probably a bowdlerized version.

Easy done, I was this close [finger & thumb held close together] to plunging my hand in a saucepan of boiling water to blanch some spinach.

To be honest I think this is a war to sit out and let the other fuckers kill one another.

Absolutely, no one less than a general would have done it or sanctioned it.

If the NOTW still existed, I’d be headline news.

In the far North of Scotland at this time of year it doesn’t get properly dark at all.

Morning. I have so far booked a routine telephone appointment w/ my Dr (blood sugar control not good) & now at Kwikfit so they can sort the puncture of my rear near side wheel, then a haircut.

I was trained to take a bag to put our rubbish in and bring it home.

Yes, but not in the normal sense, I’ve piled logs & branches to provide a home for bugs & hedgehogs

Speaks to me that this was more than tolerated but orchestrated at a senior level.

Rough sleeper is obviously drunk and is currently wandering around the car park singing at the top of his voice

I remember as a child my mum would scour the beach clearing it of rubbish. Even now I try to leave the beach tidier than how I found it.

Walked to church as rear near side tyre has a slow puncture, opened up, swept the path, welcomed visiting preacher, made old lady with dementia a cup of tea, just welcomed a rough sleeper & organised someone to make him a drink. Later we will have our morning service.

I (non lawyer) once ran a case thru High Court, we were convinced we were right & was a shock when we lost, over the years I’ve come to the view that it was right we lost. If I had my time again I’d instruct a 2nd legal firm to draw up argument to counter our main one.

We moved to Essex when I was 11 so I didn’t make the move to Leyton Senior. In Leyton we lived in Belmont Park Rd, opposite the swimming baths.

I think the only thing that can save Australia now is the weather.

Which ones? I lived & went to school in Leyton, Barclays followed by George Mitchell. PS totally agree with you.

Do you wear a hat now as an adult? My hair is thinning (wife would say bald patches) so I wear a cap or straw hat when it’s sunny, when it’s really hot I wear a headscarf tied as a bandana - the material wicks away the sweat & evaporation cools my head.

I’m still not going out to canvass for Labour until they have stopped persecuting the poor & disabled and instead tax the rich, and I count myself in the group that should be taxed more.

A test match series is by far the best possible format, with a drawn match that one team should have won but didn’t the best outcome. And a result that is impossible to explain to someone who doesn’t follow cricket.

I hope you didn’t forget your factor 50 suntan lotion, you wouldn’t want your Crown Jewels to be burnt

I love cricket, but it has become hellishly expensive. My son & I are going to the Oval on 1st August to watch England v India (day 2) ordinary ticket costs £110.

I once worked with a guy who started coming to work unkempt with clothes unlaundered, after many warnings he was dismissed; too late we discovered he had lost his home & was living in his car. He was a professional man - 2 degrees. If in doubt help.
comment in response to post
I suspect he realised there was a high likelihood of a car accident incoming.
