I’m currently sat on the patio enjoying the cool evening breeze and listening to the bees buzz as they fly amongst the honeysuckle. This honeysuckle has self seeded and we have no idea where it is growing from, we love it and daren’t investigate in case we kill it.

My 3 &1/2 year old granddaughter has decided she wants to play chess. Shortly after this picture we had to stop after “Grandad was naughty” when I showed her how I might trap her Queen. Next time I’ll remove my bishops & rooks before we start to play.

In the UK today is Father’s Day, I was tasked with handing out to men old enough to be fathers chocolates wrapped like tiny footballs. Women present divided: 1) those who remembered getting a daffodil & 2)those who also remembered getting a daffodil but took a chocolate anyway. #NoDessertIllEatYours
