Yes, discord as well. One of my biggest fears meeting someone new is trying to sus out if they're the kinda person that might record us or stream the date to friends on a private channel.

Definitely 100% normal behavior to be POV recording your entire night and making clips. I'm sure everyone that talks to him isn't consenting to this. He's blocked and banned at Mansion now, btw.

It is a process for world creators - we have to add or replace our existing light probes with LV’s. If you have reflection probes, its easy to add a light vol as a child of the ref probe for quick setup. But there’s also additive vols and audiolink vols that are a lil trickier.

Just upgrade your liltoon to the latest package. It auto updates all existing materials. It also supports light volumes now.

This world is called ā€œAbandonedā€ - light volumes are still being worked on for other Mansion and PSHQ maps. These worlds use Mochi shaders. As far as avatars go, upgrading to the latest Poiyomi or Liltoon is required. However you don’t need to install anything on your avatar- just upgrade shaders.

Overhearing vs interrupting. Two diff things. Just because a conversation is happening near you and you can hear it, it doesn't give consent to jump into it. Doesn't matter where it is, at a rave, etc. People don't need to leave the floor to have a 1:1 to avoid interjections. Self control is key.

I would just advise treading lightly here and making sure the vibe is an open conversation. The social norm I've seen develop in VR is for people to do this more often than they should. I've noticed that people get into alot of bad social habits in VR simply because they can get away with them.

I think its up to the people that get visited like this to correct their offending friend and say, "hey you just closed off my conversation!" People can be told they're doing rude things without being insulted. But if we never say anything, the behavior persists.

Yep! Even if you know 1/3 of the circle, its pretty easy to later on be like, "yo I saw you but I didn't know all of y'all and I didn't wanna interrupt a tight circle." And you're right - extremely common bad social behavior that is emulated frequently. That's sorta why I finally said something.

Introduce yourself, join circles, acknowledge EVERYONE IN THE CIRCLE. Do NOT come up to us, divide us, laser in on your one friend and nuke the vibe. Shoot them a dm, or wait for a lull in the convo to ask, "can I steal you for a second?" Yes, you are playing a game but you are not the protagonist!

I know its harsh to tell neurodivergent people, "read the room" but we do need to try to do this. If you've never met me, and I am talking to your friend, that's not an in to start talking over me and insert yourself. That's not you being quirky or funny. That's rude and people hate it. 2/3

Real shit! I have this tattoo on my thigh. Got it after 10 years of remission. Getting cancer sucked, but it changed everything for the better after all.

You crushed it - sport peppers and celery salt all around! Thanks again for having me and entertaining this ridiculous idea. šŸ¤

Unsafe/weirdo behavior. Definitely not the kind of person welcome in our safe spaces.

I see two booth avatars wearing the kinda stuff you'd see at an IRL rave. No one is having sex. You don't come to our club. You're so sadly misinformed and clearly miseducated on what it even means to be sex positive. Clown ass.
comment in response to post
PSHQ isn't a sex club.

Not here to argue, just having my say. Won't speculate about people I don't know but I do see self-repression as a form of defense mechanism that many adopt.

Yea its a fine line. Like I wont go around policing it heavily, but I might say something to that friend later - just explaining how that made me feel. I think alot of people doing it just don't have the experience to understand some of us are made to feel like shit when we see this kinda thing.

Yeah lol - I do appreciate being able to spot a red flag from across the room.
