If you are a US citizen who ‘owns land’ and who also says the country was built on stolen land then locate the closest First Nations tribe (using the more accurate Canadian term) and Quit Claim your stolen land to said tribe.

Surprisingly it’s not being leveled to make room for condos and a micro brewery and a strip mall anchored by a tattoo shop.

Per PBS - "16 percent of Black voters supported Trump in 2024, up from 8 percent in 2020. In comparison, 83 percent of Black voters supported Kamala Harris, down from the 91 percent who supported Joe Biden in 2020" . . .

Would people have preferred a true dictator parade with goose stepping storm troopers?? I’m glad those guys openly displayed their contempt in the manner in which they did. The Army isn’t a fucking prop.

The Ukrainians posted a video a while back of their soldiers taking over a Russian trench. Russian dead were scattered everywhere and in different stages of decomposition. The Russians left their dead where they fell to rot to bone in a trench they still controlled.

The tragedy is currently occupying the White House. The only reuniting it will cause is the gatherings at funerals of people who otherwise would have lived longer lives but died due to lost medical care and the spread of preventable diseases.

Hope that's true . . the source of that appears to be a sketchy looking 'news' page.

Simple lesson: The shit-stain on US history occupying the White House is for sale to the highest bidder and so US citizens should start a Go-Fund-Me page to collect $ to pay the shit-stain do things which are actually beneficial to the US . . . or Congress could impeach the stupid bastard.

Putin is a murderer. Why would any sane person consider negotiating with him about anything?

I’ve seen this same comment a dozen times now on this site. Do people not know the office title of the US? Or that citizens of the nation have routinely been referred to as Americans for nearly 250 years?

Baseball is a highly superstitious sport. The Pope is a White Sox Fan. It's Friday; the WS are hosting the fish (the Marlins). I'm not superstitious, so I won't say the Pope's immediate effect on the future of baseball will be a Sox win; but they might cover; wouldn't bet on it, though.

FYI - the official title of the US is The United States of America. For 250 years the nation has commonly been referred to as USA or the US or the States, or in short, … America.

The only nice thing about hearing loss is the option of selectively not bothering to try listening to people. Such glasses would force a subtle change in my standard response from ‘I can’t hear you’ to ‘I’m not reading you.’

So many of them have the same look on their faces - the look of a soulless humorless bitter mean mole rat pulled from its subterranean chamber into the blinding light where it curses everything and everyone. Sad. Pathetic.

Used to live in a neighborhood where I’d hear gunshots at least once a week. I got chewed out by someone for saying that the shooters should practice shooting so they’d actually hit their target and shoot up the whole neighborhood.

I have a copy of a Will of an ancestor dated 1789, Camdin (sic) District, SC. The first "item" bequeathed . . . "to my son Robert I leave a ... boy named Dave to be his ... lawfully begotten forever". The Will go one to list tracts of land and numbers of people given. Sickening stuff to read.

I live in Charlotte, NC. I saw a largish black bird with what looked to be a white head flying toward me - a bald eagle! In Charlotte! When it flew over head I saw it was just a crow flying along with an entire hotdog bun in its beak.

When I see people at marches carrying items of which the rightwing media will focus (whether the items represent a valid issue or not) I always wonder if those people are there as a 'plant' - an intentional distraction. Stoping a would-be dictator is the most important thing at the moment.
comment in response to
post
Because it does not pertain to the event which caused people to be marching in the street. Since it is there it gives garbage like Fox "news" an angle to smear the message of the march.
