It’s all very disappointing.

Georgians started the war against South Ossetia. A population was going to be forcibly displaced as a result regardless. Saakashvili’s actions back then had presented the hope for peaceful resolution & then viciously crushed it. His overall actions discreetly benefit Russia without people knowing it

Georgian Radio Liberty branch has disappointed me as much the staff & are connected to UNM in some capacity or they are blatant chauvinists which is a detriment for Abkhazians & Ossetians. A number of NGOs have UNM members running it such as Transparency International Georgia

It will take some time for the lessons to sink in. Bill MEGOBARI Act in US has been renamed to "Act on Containing the Influence of the Chinese Communist Party, Iranian Regime, and Russian Federation in the Territory of Georgia" in order for Trump to sign it. It passed the House & now needs Senate

Because the world failed & abandoned Abkhazia & South Ossetia over 30 years leaving them with no choice but Russia to eventually turn to. Abkhazia was under a Russian blockade for over a decade after the Georgian-Abkhazian War. civil.ge/archives/105...

Foreigners had legitimatized his re-election. They didn’t care about what was happening in Georgia’s prisons or what happened to Sandro Girgviliani. Or the disappearance of the Davit Sigua, a Georgian specifically Megrelian from Gali, in Abkhazia which resulted in Abkhazia being angry at Saakashvili

You refer Abkhazians & South Ossetians as “rebels”. That was not the reality in 2008. They were already independent as a result of Georgian aggression in 1990-1993. Did you know that Saakashvili deported two Chechen refugees to Putin?
comment in response to post
There were not rebels. Their situation is exactly like Kosovo to Serbia. For the Abkhazian president at the time, Russians had tightened the blockade around Abkhazia in 2005 to influence the election to get their guy to win.

On Facebook he expressed his dislike for the title of the article. He is very privileged to have Internet access to say or write whatever he wants on Facebook, Twitter. Have YouTube interviews. Write his own articles to say he was “dying”.

No, I’m not Georgian. I have listened to Georgians that are not part of Saakashvili’s circle which there are many that are connected or affiliated to his party. UNM Georgians are very prominent & have a lot of friends that support them. They were able to deceive my State Department back in September

Those two Abkhazia & South Ossetia were not Russian held. We failed them over 30 years ago. Georgian chauvinism has been forgotten despite being reported back then. That is Russian hybrid warfare against those two in order to isolate them from the US & Europe as well.

US Intelligence failed Georgia during the early 2000s under Shevardnadze. Putin did strike on Georgian territory in Pankisi Gorge & not many remember this. Saakashvili had controlled the media in Georgia at that point & was hiring a great number of lobbyist firms in the US.

The SBU found evidence that linked Saakashvili to Yanukovych in 2017. The Georgians that oppose Saakashvili have stated Saakashvili & his family have ties to the KGB. He has continued to defend & praise Trump for 13 years in English as well as praised Aliyev. He used Sam Kislin on Facebook in 2019

Russian hybrid warfare is good at isolating the post Soviet space. GD won the majority & many don’t understand the many parties of the opposition were founded by UNM members. Those UNM Georgians are completely tainted in Georgia. There is no redemption for what they done against the Georgian people.

Saakashvili’s actions towards Abkhazia & South Ossetia, he presented the hope for peaceful resolutions then he crushed it. He hardened the divide with the Abkhazians & the Ossetians where they don’t want anything to do with the Georgians anymore than being neighbors. US intelligence failed Georgians

Saakashvili brought his own corruption to Georgia that is overlooked & not widely known outside of Georgia. He didn’t challenge Putin. Putin sent Igor Ivanov twice. First time to remove Shevardnadze in 2003 & then again to remove Aslan Abashidze of Adjara in 2004.

Those were superficial changes that didn’t address core problems. Many people across the political spectrum were lured to believe Saakashvili & his cohorts were “reformers”. They were not, however they are very charismatic & charming to foreigners. www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/ukrain...

He’s not undermining Putin. He secretly deported two Chechen refugees after officially meeting Putin in February 2004 in the same month. He scared the Chechen refugees out of Pankisi Gorge which Shevardnadze had largely protected them. He has continously done discreet actions like that since then

There is a thing called projection & he’s great at it. People pity him, despite him having a secret sex archive to blackmail people & charmed so many to whitewash him. Saakashvili started the war in 2008 against South Ossetia, which Georgian chauvinism has been forgotten in over 30 years.

Saakashvili’s overall actions have discreetly benefit the Russians. He & his cohorts have effectively isolate Georgia, Abkhazia & South Ossetia from the US & Europe.
comment in response to post
No, his use of Saakashvili brought corruption that people didn’t realize & it has made a divide with the Georgians that absolutely hate Saakashvili & his cohorts from the United National Movement. It would be a different world if people didn’t defend or whitewash Saakashvili all the back to 2000s.

Govs should have been suspicious of Russian involvement of Igor Ivanov having been sent during the ‘Rose Revolution’ to have a private chat with Shevardnadze & then again in 2004 to have a private chat with Aslan Abashidze of Adjara to have him removed. Saakashvili’s suspicious actions overlooked

Pankisi Gorge had a large Chechen refugee population. Putin was pressuring Shevardnadze, who grew a bit of a conscious & was largely protective of Chechens, to remove them from the area. Saakashvili after meeting Putin officially in February 2004 quietly deported two & it scared many out of area.

2008 War was more to test our intelligence agencies to see if they could call out Saakashvili. Intelligence agencies had failed for some of the following reasons politics, they became incompetent or completely focus on Al Qaeda. RF did airstrikes on Georgian territory in early 2000s in Pankisi Gorge
