Furthermore, (again i like you a lot) this EPM thinking is absolutely moneyball ideology run amuck. Seattle would be blessed to have a player like Sabonis. The game is not excel spreadsheets, one for stats and one for revenue. The game is art, religion, transcendent, and more is NOT less.

Big fan Beck, no hate. But i condemn this thinking in totality. Too many things to list but lets start here: If not enough talent as it is, should we contract? No? Well why not? There is already not enough super stars to go around, as you say, so clearly teams without are somehow bad for the game.
