The compassion approach is important though, because if we stop doing that piece as humans, the rest of this shit isn't worth fighting for anyway. Gotta be both ways at once.

You're right, of course. But from a pragmatic point of view, only one of these groups of people can be persuaded, en masse. There are a few Republicans you can compassion into the fold Joe, but not nearly enough. You need the persuadable ones in power to realize they're in a war.

Maybe they can look at a guy like Devers?

Day by day it becomes clearer that nobody is coming to save them, save perhaps themselves.

If you know nothing of the dynamic between Democrats and Republicans, a guy who says they're going to take a highly complex government program like Medicare and make it "perfect" is obviously lying. Like, that's all you need. How was your whole country taken in by someone so obviously full of shit?

Tonight is Game 81. The Jays are 2 up in the Wild Card, 3 back of the Yankees. They're underwater by run differential. I think there's a case to be made that Schneider is getting a *lot* better, within the parameters of how much a manager affects these things at all.

I kind of don't care about his performance, personally. An inner circle hall of famer is pitching for my team! And there's none of the squicky Roger Clemens shit! It's Mad Max, pitching for the Good Guys for once! He'd have to get absolutely dominated for months for me to want him gone.

I would imagine it's like corrupt cops. Miller needs to be on the take so that everyone's in equal jeopardy and will shut the F up. But he's in it "for the love of the game," as a sociopath might say.

Hi CNN, Canada here. These are the dumbest fucking people currently drawing air here. You have a bunch more of them, but they're the same sort: traitors to their country, and window-lickers down to the last one. Good job asking them what they "think" though.

"No! You used the authority we spent decades trying to get rid of like a hot fucking potato!"

And now the concept of Jizz has been bequeathed to Disney for a mere $4B.

I always thought it was cool that Connery got to do Action Guy shit, but in that affable egg-head context. He was James Bond, but he just kicks ass in any context you put him in.

I think it's the best because Indy actually has something going on here that tests his character's beliefs and origins. I don't think it's an accident that we didn't learn his name until this movie. The guy under the hat and leather jacket didn't matter until we met his Dad and saw what wrought him.

Fortunately, no real doctors will adhere to this. Mainly because any doctor who is so adhering, isn't a real doctor.

To say nothing of course of the Basic Human Empathy argument, but good luck there.

Even if you're only 100% self-interested - which is the argument you need to make with these knuckleheads - a bunch of authoritarian-curious clownshits stripping legal protections from *anyone* should be cause for *anyone else* to start wondering about the tenuous protections they currently enjoy.

K bye, fuck off then.

We call them "morons," and "turncoats" here, but good job asking them what they "think."

They're probably offended that you're using someone else as the yardstick for cruelty.

Devers has a *lot* of term left, if I'm not mistaken. Return indeed seems light. Also, like... Matt Chapman exists, so his 3B time would seem to still be in jeopardy.

Yeah, someone doing any of that would be great, Chuck-o.

And that will, in their final analysis, be the *real* violence.

Yeah, get into a robo-taxi with software written by teenage Nazi dumbasses. Sure. That's something I'm likely to do.

There's no way he's gonna understand what "Master of the House" is about, and on the off chance he does, he's gonna think it's about a swell guy, and the hero has finally showed up.

If you want to create the Joker, you must first sign Brad Marchand in Toronto. You'll create at least one, for sure. Probably a bunch. Not including the GM, of course.

Yeah, Republicans don't need their votes, and can do as they please; but working in a bipartisan way on fucking fisheries or whatever with someone who's taking a meeting after lunch on concentration camps is looney tunes.

Hi, Canada here. Seems wild to me that there's ANY attempt from Democrats to govern anything, given what's going on. The only thing Congress should be discussing is articles of impeachment for every member of the admin they have grounds for. And there are a few. The gamble is not doing that.

From Canada it seems crazy to me that anyone needs to cater to the people who are going to be offended or inflamed by Mexican flags at protests. As though these people would be reachable, but they saw a flag, so they're gonna be cool with fascism now. That person was already a fascist.

Jesus is famously laissez-faire about loving thy neighbour. "Eh, take it or leave it," he said bleeding profusely from the cross, probably.

I was having a little Switch-xiety, but then I did as you did and thought about my backlog. Working on Clair Obscur, have Indy and Cyberpunk in the chamber for after. I'm good for a bit. Go Mario your Karts, or whatever.

Kinda, yeah? It'd be like if you guys got canceled before you got to swing a sword, which was pretty early.

You REALLY don't want to set the precedent that Donald Trump has that power. Elect someone sane, and then nationalize it. Impeach & remove, and then tell JD Vance he's smart so that *he'll* nationalize it. So many options.

So true. It's why I try not to tell people I'm working on something. It's *almost* as good a dopamine hit as finishing; and then all progress on The Thing stops. Trying to get healthy has meant understanding what my brain says "yay" to, and making sure it's not snacking when it's not supposed to.
