Another terrific scoop from @marisakabas.bsky.social www.thehandbasket.co/p/ice-warran...

Had to make a pilgrimage.

Well, that’s some fucking racist bullshit.

The head of the fema command center quit. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/12/c...

this is not legal advice but there are like twenty circuit court cases holding that you do in fact have a first amendment right to record the police

is it more likely there's been a secret moon base or the guy Trump appointed as Army Secretary doesn't know what he's talking about, I'll let you guess which side of that I fall on

Army on the moon

For the Yutes youtu.be/goh2x_G0ct4

this 48-second video of a protest in ontario, california is top-tier storytelling 🤌🏽🤌🏽

I'm proud I don't have Andrew Cuomo's record of corruption, scandal and disgrace. And the name is M-A-M-D-A-N-I.

more crime in america

The Democratic Party right now is basically that guy in a movie hostage scene who stands up like “listen everybody if we just all do everything they say, we’re going to be fine” and then they shoot him in the kneecap and he spends the rest of the movie bleeding out in the corner

Palmer: Charges should be brought against each one of you AOC: Raising the prospect of charges against witnesses is a form of intimidation is it not? Palmer: I strike those words

Agree; this is a valuable, common-sense bill, which will make aviation safer.

Coverage that matches what most of the public cares about: —90% "what happened?" —10% "how will it play?" Coverage many/most top-tier media figures interested in: —90% "how will it play?" ("Does Trump look strong?" "How will Dems frame their response?" "How about 2028 race?" etc)

This is a US Senator, one of two representing nearly 40 million people from nation's most productive, populous, and *tax paying* state, being physically roughed up by goons at behest of deranged president and out of control cabinet secretary. HEY GOP SENATORS. You'll swallow even this?

Agree on both points. 1) States control most criminal prosecutions. Calif state charges for physical assault OF A US SENATOR in state's biggest city. 2) Dems in US Senate need to stand up on this one. This didn't happen even in days Faubus/Wallace/Maddox/Bull Conner resisted fed authority in 60s

By me, on the Newsom speech, and what made it unusual. fallows.substack.com/p/gavin-news...

Pritzker and Newsom are showing the way.

NPR watch: On ATC tonight, reporter said there was a "struggle" between Sen Padilla and the thugs, and then an "escalation of the tensions." Jesus. Listen for yourself: www.npr.org/2025/06/12/n... Thugs at the direction of Noem/Trump/Miller manhandled and handcuffed a US Senator. Some "struggle"

First, this is correct. Second, notice how Pete runs us through the stases: -what is it -what do we call it -is it good or bad? -what do we do about it? Clear thinking is persuasive thinking.

But yeah, e-bikes. @thewaroncars.bsky.social @nyc.streetsblog.org

I'm sorry, and this is not an endorsement, but the fact that so many people are just okay with labeling @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social antisemitic (and much worse) for even the most minor of policy disagreements is unacceptable. Credit to him for smiling and taking it so well.

Just a note to say I briefly worked on a campaign where @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social was running field operations and saw him motivate a bunch of unpaid volunteers in an uphill battle race years ago and the idea that he’s under experienced in managing people is very funny to me.

NEW: NYPD disciplinary records show Chief of Department John Chell was disciplined years ago for trying to evade paying federal taxes: He allegedly used a false identity to moonlight for six years as a basketball referee at Chelsea Piers www.thecity.nyc/2025/06/12/j...

Charlie was a great guy and so kind and funny. I remember running Camera 2 when he announced his retirement. He also would have the crew all whistle the end theme of the Young and the Restless and then clap along to the 5pm newscast intro music to get us all pumped up, just before he went on air.

They did this to a sitting senator while they knew cameras were rolling. Imagine what they are doing to more vulnerable people in the dark.

The state of California needs to arrest the DHS "security" forces for assault and every Democrat in the U.S. Senate needs to sign onto a campaign to impeach Kristi Noem. Right fucking now.

It was a press conference. She was there to answer questions. You didn't have to be a senator to ask one.

Padilla, clearly still very upset: "If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question...you can only imagine what they're doing to farm workers, to cooks, to day laborers."

I'm on my way to the Senate floor to talk about the assault on my colleague, Senator Alex Padilla. This is a horrifying moment in our nation’s history.

In the past week, a union leader has been arrested, a U.S. Rep charged with a crime, a U.S. Senator violently handcuffed, and reporters shot with rubber bullets and detained. There is no ambiguity. This is a regime operating as an authoritarian. Americans who believe in liberty must oppose it.

Escorted?!?!? The motherf%$kin' New York Times just said "escorted"!

It’s not illegal for a United States Senator to go to a public press conference and ask questions about your constituents safety. It's our job.

Move to hold the agents who assaulted a sitting senator in contempt of Congress. Call for articles of impeachment against Noem. Stop working on crypto legislation. Demonstrate the stakes of what is happening in LA with your actions.

10 days ago Hakeem Jeffries said House Ds would "respond in a time, place, and manner of our choosing" & the response would "be continuous and it will meet the moment" after a Nadler aide was handcuffed. He has done nothing. If he had courage Dems would file impeachment resolutions vs Noem today.

House Democrats need to bring articles of impeachment against Kristi Noem, while Senate Democrats need to bring that chamber to a fucking halt.

Sen. Chris Murphy calls back to Trump's pardons for Jan. 6 rioters. "The message [...is that if...] you carry out violence on behalf of the White House -- you're excused. You lodge normal, protected protest against this White House? You are thrown to the ground and handcuffed."

Be aware: Speaker Johnson just spoke to press and said that Padilla's behavior rises to the level of a censure. Are you freaking joking me.

Yes. According to Army protocol, congressional staff are VIP Code 5, with a rank equivalent to a two-star general/admiral. Members of Congress are of course significantly higher. I have never seen USCP, FPS, or any other federal LEO treat any Member with anywhere near this disrespect and violence.

Yeah it's really something to see a U.S. senator being hit with the same impossible compliance demands that the cops scream at people before shooting them during a stop

men all over the world wasting millions on hair growth treatments when they should have just run for nyc mayor against cuomo
