Will Inzaghi be backed in the summer, or is there any chance he might decide to look for pastures new?

Exactly, losing 2 forwards has to be recognised but we can't pretend that Kai or Jesus would have put some of those chances away based on some of their previous performances. We need more pace and intent to score

Couldn't agree more. We need to raise the ceiling of this team. And that means being ruthless across the board

We know we are more harshly judged than most because it farms engagement. But, if I'm honest, I don't think we have been good enough on and off the pitch to deserve a big trophy this season. I can only think of a handful of times where I thought we played really well this season

We needed a goal in the first leg, but we just couldn't react quickly enough after going behind and that's been the story of our season

We are missing a bit of luck from the chances created, but let's be fair, they could have got 3 with the chances they have had.
Still, it's not over till it's over!
Let's just go for it and see what happens, nothing to lose now

That speaks volumes for our form this season

Not just that, look at who we have played during this period, we have had some kind fixtures and still not managed to get any momentum. The league is the only real indicator of a teams level and since Jan, we have shown that we are no where near the level we hoped we might be

It's the lack of reaction and inability to see the game out which is most worrying to me. Where is the leadership on the pitch, and I don't just mean from our captain...

Couldn't agree more. Who knows what will happen on Wednesday, I want the win.
Sadly, when it's come to the crunch time in the season again, we've been found lacking. Our inability to react and to set backs, especially in the 2nd half is really worrying

Fully understand those feelings, I'm almost there myself. Trouble is, we aren't confirmed top 5 yet let alone 2nd place, and to me that is not good enough. So many poor performances, my worry is what this might impact next season

At this level, those little details make the difference and we had a few chances, but we have to be honest, did we really do enough to get something from this game?
We were outplayed but it's only half time. We really need our 'leaders' to step up and they can

So true, we gave them far too much respect and haven't got close enough. Still, I trust this team

As great as PSG have been, we have seen our midfield get overran before. Most worrying thing was how long it's taken us to recover. I trust Arteta to sort it out

It's been a difficult season for many reasons, but it could still turn out to be a great one. If u could have one player return fully fit for the remainder of the season, out of Big Gabby, Kai and Jesus, who would u choose and why?

I think he is trying too hard if that makes sense. I would love to see him remain higher up the pitch in offensive situations rather than try to do everything. Also, he needs to get in the gym because he's pushed off the ball far too easily

Just a shame, as I think a win would have sealed 2nd place.
Palace played well, but we also shot ourselves in the foot with some sloppy mistakes. My main concern was the lack of reaction once they got the 2nd. But bigger fish to fry and all that

Superb performance considering what we were up against. Rice dominated, over the 2 legs he completely eclipsed Bellingham. So many good performances but the best performance was our manager. We are lucky to have him, we haven't won it yet, but he will at some stage, I'm sure about that

What do we do about Party?
He has been in great form this season, and one of our most consistent performers, but I expect him to leave at the end of the season. Most of us would be happy for him to go, but would this massively hamper spending big on our frontline? 1 yr contact?

What a performance, no player was less than a 10 today. We were so brave in how we attacked and defended. Special shout out to kwior....what were we worried about again?!?! COYG

I love our captain, but he's off free kicks forever

I've never felt so proud of a 0-0 at half time!
We played with some real verve, and mistakes are natural in any game but we didn't let us stop our flow. More of this in the 2nd half

3 points in the bag, and they can fuck off

Couldn't agree more. I will never get tired of winning games against that lot, I couldn't care less about the performance. We forget they used to terrorise us during those days

Been debating this one myself. I still can't tell if this is a good signing or not, which probably means it hasn't been one

George Forman grill, was great when he popped into the scene, now just sat on the bench collecting dust
comment in response to

As well as he does in the oppositions box, do you think it's worrying that as soon as Merino drops back into midfield, he seems unable to get on the ball or track his runners. Is the jury still out on this signing? #arsecastextra

Where was our captain once we scored?
We didn't play badly but compared to the best team in the league, we aren't good enough

Arteta will be fuming, we were knocking it about like we were 2 up. Not enough urgency at all and the left side was completely dormant. Need much much more in the 2nd half

It looks as though the title is pretty much wrapped up and we are still in Feb. Are we underrating just how good this Liverpool team is, and is a treble on the cards?

Couldn't agree more. But we can't ignore the fact that we haven't performed at our best this season. Dropping points at home to Villa, Brighton etc etc, we just haven't capitalised on our strengths enough. Also, we have a midfield that haven't contributed enough goals...

Sadly, last week's result covered up a pretty bad performance and today was more of the same. We knew we would struggle with the injuries we have in attack so it is what it is.
No matter how the rest of the season pans out, we have to improve our open play chance creation

It's hilarious. Spurs are just shit, and UTD have wasted all their money on the worst forwards in the league

It was sooo bad. I felt for our fans who travelled to watch that

Please can I ask that whenever we feel shit because we haven't performed well, you boys on the pod remind us of this result, and this feeling and to #stayhumble. We quickly forget that we were the ones who used to be on the end of a result like this against the 115 mob.

We needed a result like that. The weird thing is that it was far from our best performance. So happy for the hale end boys as well

They have earned their way in and let their quality do the talking. Here's hoping they are mainstays for years to come

Completely agree. If we can get the ball forward quicker and with more purpose I think we could cause their defence some real issues.
I worry for Kai, that's a bad miss and he's going to need some picking up at HT
