Treaty 7 by birth, meeting new friends in Treaty 6. No longer sure which way is up unless I'm standing beside a tree. Policy geek, woodworking hack

I've never actually considered this before but I suspect you would be correct

With the amendments as of 28 hours ago, the story gets better. *unionized* jobs must be created....ain't no way any oil major is gonna abide by that. (Thankfully)

Cold Lake First Nations asked that the bill be amended to incorporate triple-bottom-line accounting for exactly this reason. Also, you cannot begin to align with Treaty Rights without protecting the ecosystem. If that fails, hunting and gathering rights cannot be supported

Honestly? The use of AI for "mundane" applications is my biggest gripe about it.
I value knowledge in my fellow citizens/coworkers. By skipping the work I have noticed, in only this short amount of time, a substantial ⬇️ in both accurate knowledge & critical thinking skills in those who use it.

Yeah, me too. I've realized though that there are a lot more quiet people, even in my (oilsands) area, that don't know each other exist & also feel alone. So my mission this summer is to introduce as many as I can to each other via bbqs etc. Its a small thing but I suspect it will have real results

I know people who are adding a suite- there is a HELL of a lot to familiarize yourself with and prepare before you get to shovels in the ground. They've been at it for 2 years. This shit doesn't happen overnight unless you're a developer. And not even then.
