There’s a Trump store in Boones Mill, VA inside of a vacant church. It’s too on the nose to be funny.

A few years ago I found the “novel” I’d written at age 13. I laughed until I cried, and then I burned it. Zero regrets.

I’m seriously glad ol Graham Crackers posted this. He gets taken FAR too seriously for being a joke of a human. Maybe this will help people see him for the clown he is. Maybe.

I sent my card to his DC office since I know he’s there right now. I know he’s not likely to be the one to read it but just in case.

One of our nations finest universities, yet they pulled 400mil in funding from it. Makes sense. 🙄

No worries. I just want to reassure our scientists that we do care and we are trying.

During Covid many federal agencies picked up new grants management specialists from universities. There are more of us GMS who come from academia than you might know. And we are holding the line too. (It’s not much, but we are trying.)

So far I have received 11 different instructional emails about my response. This is a brilliant use of government resources! 🙄

I’m not sure who they are, but as a fellow Fed I can say that very often the information they’ve posted first for stuff happening inside the government has been accurate, and then reported by legitimate news sources a day or two later. I take it all with a grain of salt but they’ve been helpful.

They are forcing some of us to return to offices hundreds of miles away, even if those weren’t our original duty locations, or making us resign. And there is not sufficient time to make decisions. In cases like mine, the govt will pay higher locality if I move. So much efficiency! 🙄

That’s still the goal. I’m holding the line in spite of the pressures. But many of my colleagues are completely unaware that all of this is dubious and I think they might fall for it.

I hear you, but I’ll also say that some of us are getting extreme pressure from inside our own chain of command. They too know it’s BS, but the writing is on the wall that there are likely terminations and RIF coming on the heels of this. And so they are saying we should at least try the DR.

I’ve been using this every day for the last two weeks. Today all of my representatives had full voicemail boxes. I’m 99% sure that’s not me alone. Keep it up everybody. Be a menace!

I have worried that disclosing a disability suddenly puts one in the “DEI” category somehow and would make it worse.

I intended for my current position to be my career. I want to stay. I want to keep putting band-aids on the republic from the inside. But I also don’t want to feel alone and vulnerable anymore and I’m hoping that there is a real actionable movement that I can align with.

Are there any groups of federal employees seeking legal counsel together? I’m not part of a union and I feel lost and overwhelmed about where to start.

THESE are the alleged FAQ’s? I know I wasn’t the only one whose only question was simply WTF.

Thanks. That helps. I was told to reply “yes” and now I feel so foolish that I did.

Looking forward to signing up the kiddo, and hopefully making it possible for a few other kiddos to join as well.
